‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Reunion Special Spoilers: Nick, Sonia Not Together? [Video]

Married at First Sight Season 4 still has some bombs to drop. The season finale saw Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados, as well as Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez, deciding to stay married, but the preview of the Married at First Sight Season 4 reunion special hints at trouble in paradise for one of the couples. Nick is seen not wearing his wedding ring.

In the official sneak peek of the Married at First Sight Season 4 reunion special, Nick is seen arriving for his meeting with the relationship experts without his wedding ring, and it does not go unnoticed. Dr. Pepper Schwartz directly asks him whether he and Sonia are still married or have separated.

“Nick, I noticed that you do not have your wedding ring on. Are you and Sonia still together?”

Nick can be seen taking a dramatic pause, alluding to a tempestuous relationship between him and Sonia. The six-week married life of this couple has had more ups and downs compared to Tom and Lillian, as the two were not emotionally on the same page.

Sonia and Nick’s marriage also lacked physical intimacy, with Nick once telling Sonia, “I’m not attracted to you.”

In the Season 4 finale on Tuesday, October 25, Sonia forgave Nick and moved back in with him, but she was unsure about her decision. She ultimately decided to stay married and not opt for a divorce, saying that she and Nick were matched for a reason by the Married at First Sight experts and that their marriage could work. She also said that she saw some glimpses of sweet Nick, and that gave her hope, according to the New York Post.

“Nick and I have a future together. We were matched for a reason, that it could work. It’s going to take some time. I’m very hopeful because of those glimpses of Nick that I see that are very sweet. Those moments give me hope.”

Sonia, however, does not sound positive about Nick in the preview of the Married at First Sight Season 4 reunion special. She is seen telling the relationship experts that she got married to Nick because she believed in marriage, adding that she does not know if he, too, shares the same ideas.

The preview may have put a big question mark on Nick and Sonia’s marriage, but their Twitter feeds suggest that they are still together. Unlike this couple’s marriage mystery, there is no suspense surrounding Tom and Lillian’s marriage. The sneak-peek clip of the Marriage at First Sight Season 4 reunion special shows that Lillian and Tom’s connection is growing strong.

Lillian tells the relationship experts that they have a “healthy sex life,” and that shows in the sneak peek. The two are shown in the bed, telling each other what is the best part of being married to each other. Lillian says to the camera that seeing Tom change makes her hopeful about their relationship.

“And he [Tom] may not even realize the changes he is doing, but that just means he is doing it because it’s coming naturally from him. And I really need to appreciate that.”

Tom, on the other hand, is seen telling the camera that Lillian is the one. He seems to have taken a huge leap from his only 85-percent-sure-about-staying-married days.

“Lillian is the one. The one that can make me happy. The one who can keep me going. And I cannot ask for much more.”

The Married At First Sight Season 4 reunion special airs on Tuesday, November 1. FYI has already renewed the docuseries for Season 5, and the production on the new season has started in Chicago, Illinois. The new season is slated to air in 2017.
