‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Cast: Eleven Returns, Millie Bobby Brown Drops A Major Hint

Stranger Things is one of the best series on Netflix and breakout star Millie Bobby Brown drops a major hint on Instagram that Eleven is returning for Stranger Things Season 2.

If you are one of the millions of people who binge-watched Stranger Things, you will know that Eleven’s fate was kind of left in the air.

In the last episode of the series, we see Chief Jim Hopper enter a car to discuss something that is not revealed. Hopper knows something that we don’t because he is also seen leaving Eleven’s favorite snacks somewhere in the woods, which suggested that she may still be alive.

Now we can expect both cast members to return for Stranger Things Season 2. Hopper will likely work closely with Eleven and perhaps bring her back from wherever she disappeared to after destroying the monster.

Some fans speculate that Eleven is somewhere in the Upside Down world and Hopper will find out more about the mysterious and strange things happening in Hawkins, Indiana.

So, what do we know so far? The trailer does not tell us much, however, the title of each episode has been revealed. The titles give us a clue about what is to come and they are as follows:

  • MadMax
  • The Boy Who Came Back To Life
  • The Pumpkin Patch
  • The Palace
  • The Storm
  • The Pollywog
  • The Secret Cabin
  • The Brain
  • The Lost Brother

Stranger Things Season 2 will also be getting some new cast members. So while Eleven is returning, Millie Bobby Brown may play a minor role in the upcoming season as new cast members are introduced.

According to TVLine, series creators The Duffer brothers are introducing three major new characters in Stranger Things Season 2. One of whom is Max, who is described as “tough and confident” and the first episode is likely named after the new cast member as well as being a tribute to the Mel Gibson film.

Another new cast member to expect in the upcoming season is a 14-year-old female whose “appearance, behavior, and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era.” While more kids are being cast in the show, your favorite Stranger Things kids Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucas are expected to return. Will Byers is seen in the last episode infected by his experience in the Upside Down world.

The other new cast member in Stranger Things Season 2 include Max’s “very muscular and hyper-confident” Camaro-driving older brother Billy, and a character named Roman who will be an adult. Roman will be looking for revenge, however, it is not clear which character the new cast member has an issue with.

According to the Duffer Brothers, the show will deal with the rapidly maturing appearance of the kids by adding a time jump between the first series and second, according to IGN. Matter Duffer told the publication why they are adding a time jump.

“As much as I would love to have it be Christmas right after that, it’s just not feasible, so we’re going to skip a year. They’ll be a year older and all their changes they’re going through, we’ll take that into account and kind of work that into the show.”

Stranger Things Season 2 will start about a year after the events in the first installment. We can also expect the Upside Down to be explained in greater detail and explored more in the upcoming season.

The series will also explore other areas other than the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The Duffer brothers are huge fans of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and will reference or draw inspiration from other movies in the 80’s such as Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Aliens.
