Is Selena Gomez being blamed for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce?
Although the couple appears to have parted ways due to Pitt’s failure to align his parenting style with that of his wife, Selena Gomez has been dragged into their divorce fallout — and she isn’t happy about it.
According to a report by iTech Post on October 26, Selena Gomez recently entered a rehab facility in hopes of getting a break from the ongoing speculation and attention about her private life, but unfortunately, the rumors and drama have continued.
Although Selena Gomez has remained in rehab for weeks, she was recently named as the culprit of Pitt’s divorce. At first, the outlet explained, Selena Gomez ignored the shocking rumor, but as time went on, she reportedly became more and more annoyed by the allegation.

Earlier this year, Selena Gomez and Brad Pitt made headlines due to an allegedly flirty encounter at the Golden Globe Awards. So, when Pitt and Jolie’s divorce was announced in September, Selena Gomez’s name was thrust into the spotlight once again. However, in addition to their past contact, a new report suggested Pitt had kept a photo of Selena Gomez on his phone which had been discovered by Jolie and led to a “blowout fight.”
Although Selena Gomez has been tied to her ex-husband for months, she and Jennifer Aniston have remained friends. In fact, according to a recent report, Aniston visited the singer in rehab.
“[Selena Gomez]’s allowed a limited number of visitors a day, but she got the surprise of her life when Jen showed up,” a source told Celebs Now earlier this month. “She’s incredibly supportive of Selena and knows she must be feeling awful, getting caught up in the Brangelina divorce drama. Seeing Jen was exactly what Selena needed. She’s so funny and sweet and she really cheered her up.”
“[Selena Gomez]’s been going through hell with anxiety and depression over her lupus and Jen wanted to let her know everyone was rooting for her. She even turned up with a card signed by all their friends back home in LA.,” the source added.

Selena Gomez met Jennifer Aniston a couple of years ago at a party in Los Angeles and despite the ongoing rumors regarding Gomez and Pitt, they have remained in touch.
“We met through my management so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s, like, inviting me to her house,” Selena Gomez recalled of her friendship with Aniston. “She has a pizza oven. Like, we’ve made pizzas at her house. She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice.”
Selena Gomez and Jennifer Aniston haven’t been seen publicly very often, but according to Gomez’s comments, they may have spent plenty of time together behind closed doors. Meanwhile, when it comes to Gomez and Pitt, they haven’t been seen together at all, aside from their hangout session earlier this year at the Golden Globe Awards.
Selena Gomez announced she would be entering a treatment center in August of this year. At the time, Selena Gomez was in the midst of her Revival World Tour, which was expected to continue on until December.
In a statement to People Magazine, Selena Gomez told fans she was in need of some time off due to her struggles with anxiety, depression and panic attacks.
