Brad Pitt Child Abuse Investigation Expanded To Focus On Multiple Alleged Incidents, FBI Determining If Federal Level Investigation Necessary

Fans of the former A-list couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been left in shock since the notable actress and UN special envoy filed for divorce from Pitt back in mid-September. There had been rumors of marriage troubles, yet no one could have expected the true reason that brought the couple’s marriage to a halt- alleged abuse towards their six children by Pitt.

News of an incident involving the family traveling from Europe to Los Angeles on a private jet when Pitt allegedly became intoxicated and then verbally and physically abusive with the couple’s 15-year-old son, Maddox, is said to be the breaking point for Jolie, after which an FBI investigation was launched. Jolie announced she was filing for divorce from Pitt out of concern for their children’s well being and that she would maintain full custody of the children while the investigation and divorce proceedings got under way.

Pitt has said to be compliant during the investigation, yet sources now report that it was all to be completed by the end of October, but that there have been additional allegations brought against Pitt which will extend the investigation further. The Huffington Post shares details on the matter.

“The investigation was meant to close by the end of October, according to In Touch, but a source told the magazine it ‘was not closed on schedule for a reason.’ The outlet claims the extended investigation is a result of new accusations against Pitt, including multiple alleged instances of verbal abuse. “

The source added that the investigation by the DCFS is to continue for at least several more weeks. DCFS is to investigate other alleged incidents including those between Pitt and Jolie that were reportedly witnessed by some of their children. A source shared that some of the children of the estranged couple had been fearful around Pitt.

Angelina and the children were also reportedly interviewed by the FBI about the Ocean’s 11 star’s behavior for the purpose of determining whether there was enough to go on to support the child abuse allegations and therefore warrant a full investigation. A source who spoke about the course of events relays that the investigation is “absolutely ongoing,” as the publication relays.

“The agents wanted a breakdown of everything that happened from when the plane took off to when it landed. They’re looking into charges of assault.”

As stated by the source about the proceedings, the FBI “will likely investigate for another few weeks” and when all is complete “they will present the case to the prosecutor, who will evaluate whether they feel the need to bring charges against Brad.”

A representative for the FBI spoke in a statement to The Huffington Post, noting “the FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued.”

Following Jolie filing for divorce, the actress reportedly moved herself and the former couple’s six children into a rental home in Los Angeles. Pitt and Jolie had called Chateau Miraval in France home and it was said to be the pride and joy of Pitt, who put a good deal into renovating it for the large family. The estate also had a functioning vineyard and winery at which Angelina and Brad made their own line of rose to be sold. It was recently reported that this massive property that comes with its own moat, has been put on the market.

Although there have been claims that the 41-year-old actress is “rethinking” the divorce and her severe “tactics,” as the Economic Times states, from what has been made known about the status of the two at the moment, it seems Angelina is moving ahead with the proceedings.
