New Taylor Swift Single ‘State Of Grace’ Previewed On ‘Good Morning America’ [Video]

Taylor Swift took a break from her hectic schedule to preview her new single on Good Morning America.

Swift has been busy promoting her upcoming album Red, and the singer previewed the fourth promotional single “State of Grace” on the October 15 episode of Good Morning America to round out her promotional duties before the track goes live on iTunes on October 16. “State of Grace” follows the first promotional single, “Begin Again,” released in late September. Following “Begin Again” were the tracks “Red,” named for the album, and “I Knew You Were Trouble” which debuted on October 8. All of Swift’s singles for Red have previewed on Good Morning America prior to their availability for download.

Swift said that the fourth single is about the heightened feelings that you get when you first fall in love. “I wrote this song about when you first fall in love with someone, the possibilities, and you know kind of thinking about the different ways that it could go,” she explained. No doubt, with her recent pairing with Conor Kennedy, Swift had plenty of inspiration for the track.

Swift also said that the musical arrangement of “State of Grace” was important as she headed in to recording. “It’s a really big sound to me,” she adds. “This sounds like the feeling of falling in love in an epic way.”

Swift’s Good Morning America preview of “State of Grace” is only a snippet because she wants there to be plenty to look forward to when Red hits stores in one week. “I really want there to be so many surprises left on the record for when it comes out eventually, some collaborations that haven’t been talked about and some songs that are definitely what make the album so unique,” she said.
