Sorry Baltimore Ravens fans but cornerback Lardarius Webb is out for the season. Webb tore the ACL in his right knee during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

After undergoing an MRI exam Monday morning team officials confirmed the ACL tear and told members of the media that he is out for the remainder of the season.

Webb injured his knee during a collision with Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. After laying on the field for several minutes Webb was eventually helped to the sideline by team doctors.

Team officials originally thought the ACL tear was nothing more than a sprain but coach John Harbaugh quickly changed that diagnosis.

After the game Harbaugh revealed:

“Lardarius Webb does not look good right now. It’s a potential ACL. We’ve got a problem there. We don’t know for sure, but that’s what it looks like right now.”

Webb, currently in his fourth season, has one interception, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery over six games this season.

Also injured for the Ravens during the game was middle lineback Ray Lewis who injured a tricep and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata who sprained his MLC. Both Lews and Ngata were scheduled to undergo MRI’s on Monday.

After the game Ravens safety Bernard Pollard said of the Webb’s injury:

“That’s what happens in this game. You hate to see a guy like that go down because he’s worked his tail off. Our prayers are with him to get a speedy recovery, but the next man has to step up.”
