WWE Rumors: Goldberg’s Existence Angers Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman Reacts, Seth Rollins Attacked

Well now! Where do we go from here with the WWE rumors? To say that last night’s Raw was nothing if not epic would be the understatement of the century, and needless to say, with all that’s going on, the WWE rumors mill is completely in overdrive. So let’s get right down to all the excitement, because we certainly have a lot to talk about here!

Let’s start with Philly.com‘s WWE rumors roundup, wherein the talk of the town, of course, is all about how Paul Heyman felt that the fans were all about “Goldberg” when, in reality, they were all about Brock Lesnar. Lesnar, who went to the University of Minnesota (and thus got a lot of hometown love), had the entire audience chanting for him when all he was doing was standing in the ring. Paul Heyman, of course, took the few people that were chanting for Goldberg (which was, basically, in the single digits) to mean that Brock Lesnar was getting “disrespected” in the ring, and the more Heyman talked, the more angry Brock Lesnar got.

As a fan wrote, “you made us wait three hours for this?”

But how much of this was really Brock Lesnar, and how much of this was Paul Heyman trying to be a hypeman for the WWE? According to UPI‘s latest WWE rumors report, much of this “controversy” was manufactured by Paul Heyman, who — if nothing else — is the master of promotion.

Heyman taunted the crowd — and Goldberg — when he said the following.

“Those chants are really starting to piss Brock Lesnar off. Goldberg is gonna be like Humpty Dumpty because all of the chants in the world won’t be able to put Goldberg back together again when he is beaten, victimized, and conquered by my client. I would advise those of you who are chanting the name of Goldberg to please refrain from doing so before my client takes matters into his own freaking hands.”

At this point, the WWE then announced that Goldberg would return next week to continue this war of words with Brock Lesnar… presumably so we’ll all buy tickets and/or subscriptions to the Pay-Per-View event, Survivor Series. Not that it won’t be worth it, but there has to be an easier way to promote this all.

Finally, we come to the latest rumors report put out by The Indian Express, which described how Seth Rollins was “viciously attacked” before his upcoming Hell in a Cell appearance. While the former Shield fighter easily bested both Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in last night’s fight, it was not without its problems. He left the ring limping, and in a very bad way, leaving people to wonder what will happen when Hell in a Cell airs on Sunday.

While it’s possible that Seth will still take home the championship, it’s also entirely possible that this latest injury has thrown the match in Kevin Owens’ favor. Remember, too, that Owens has the advantage of having another fighter in his corner — even though it’s only Chris Jericho — and that means that if nothing else, he can easily best Rollins with an extra pair of hands.

So, what do you think of all these WWE rumors? Do you think the Goldberg and Lesnar fight will live up to the hype? Do you think that Rollins will walk away victorious on Sunday?
