‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset for Oct. 25, Festival Of The Lost Is Here

Destiny players on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can begin celebrating Halloween with the Festival of the Lost. The limited time event arrived early Tuesday morning to Bungie’s shooter and will give players two weeks to complete quests and collect as many masks as they can.

As previously covered, players should visit Eva Levante in the North Tower area to kick off the Festival of the Lost. They’ll be asked to visit some of the characters around Destiny’s original social space to collect candy and earn a mask as a reward. This is just the start of a quest line that takes players through PVP and PVE activities to complete challenges and earn rewards. Similarly, Tyra Karn in the Iron Temple has a mask to give away as well, which kicks off a second quest line in honor of Lord Saladin.

The Tower, Reef, and Iron Temple have all been decorated for the Festival of the Lost. Additionally, players can earn unique vanity items from Trials of Osiris, Crucible Matches, and Strike Hoards playlists while the event runs.

Naturally, Eververse has been updated with items for players to purchase via micro-transactions. This includes Treasures of the Lost, which grant new Masks, Bad Juju Ornaments, a Sparrow, Ghost Shells, and Consumables. There are also new Emotes like Howl and Terrify while Emotes from last year’s event return – Monster Dance, Zombie Dance, and Boo.

The first challenge for the King’s Fall Raid Challenge should be a snap for those experienced with the encounter already. The fireteam must ensure that no one player holds the aura during the damage phase more than once.

Possible rewards for the challenge on Normal include a 320 Light level Artifact and 320 Light level weapon, and one of the missing Calcified Fragments along with the normal chance at an Exotic. The rewards on Hard mode are a 335 Light level Artifact and 335 Light level weapon, plus the “Worm God’s Servant” emblem and the Calcified Fragment. You can get the Normal mode rewards in Hard mode in addition to the 335 level rewards.

Court of Oryx (Guide) — Tier 3: Balwur

Destiny Court of Oryx Balwur (PlayStation, Xbox)

The wizard Balwur may be the easiest Tier 3 boss to appear in the Court of Oryx yet. The hook with her is that the floor of the court is covered in poison except for the area underneath the platform and safe zones created by killing Major Acolytes. Balwur spawns on top of the platform, while Major Acolytes, Knights, and Thrall will spawn and move around the arena. The platform is poison-free but obviously dangerous as Balwur will shoot players and drop poison clouds.
