Shannon Beador On Settling ‘RHOC’ Feuds: ‘I Am A Forgiving Person’

Shannon Beador is one of the housewives on The Real Housewives of Orange County that tends to judge people before she gets to know them. Out of the entire cast, she’s probably the one who has been on the show the shortest amount of time and had drama with almost every single person. Beador has been critical of Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Vicki Gunvalson and even Meghan King Edmonds, even though the two stood united this season. So, why is Shannon so critical and why is she now friends with most of these women? Well, in her own words, she sees herself as a very forgiving person.

According to a new Bravo report, Shannon Beador is now revealing that she’s only getting along with her co-stars because she’s able to forgive them and move on. Just because she can forgive them does not mean she’s forgetting what they did to her, which is why she’s able to be cordial with Vicki Gunvalson, but not bond with her on a deeper level.

“No, I’m not [surprised], because I am a forgiving person,” Shannon Beador reveals in an interview with the Daily Dish, according to Bravo, adding, “I made huge strides with Tamra and Heather. Who would have thought that we’d be as close as we are today, but we are. The same goes with Meghan.”

When Meghan King Edmonds joined the show, Shannon got a call from her to inquire about some charity advice. Since Beador didn’t recognize the number or the name, she panicked. And rather than show some understanding afterward when she realized that it was her new Real Housewives of Orange County co-star that was calling her, she decided to yell at Meghan. It seemed like an awkward fight to have, but it was one that really showed how critical Shannon was of new people in her life.

Meghan King Edmonds: Did Vicki Gunvalson Set Meghan Up During Her ER Visit?

On this season of the show, Shannon Beador and Meghan was criticized for not rushing to Vicki Gunvalson’s side when she was brought to the hospital for a check-up after her dune buggy accident. Meghan has repeatedly said that she would have gone if the doctors decided to admit Vicki to the hospital, but she was merely in the emergency room for a few hours before being sent home.

“In my family, if someone is taken to the ER, they go through the tests, and then if they’re admitted, then we go to the hospital to see them. Vicki was in the ER, and they were trying to determine and assess what her injuries were,” Shannon Beador has revealed about the situation, adding, “If she were admitted to the hospital, I would have been there. She was let go. They released her.”

Both Shannon and Meghan had been criticized for their behavior, sharing that they didn’t understand why they had to drop everything to see Vicki in the hospital when the girls couldn’t go themselves. While they blamed stress, shock and the lack of transportation on not being able to go, Shannon Beador knew that Kelly Dodd’s own husband Michael had a car available and they chose not to go. And Beador reveals that she wouldn’t have done anything different.

“No, I wouldn’t have done it any differently, because with the information that we had, we made our decisions, and I think most people would have made those decisions,” Shannon said, adding, “Vicki keeps saying, ‘I would have been at the hospital. Kelly would have been at the hospital.’ Kelly had two open bottles of champagne, she was popping a beer, she was having a cocktail. She could have gotten in her car. She says, ‘Oh, we didn’t have transportation.’ Her husband Michael drove there. There was a car there. Stop making excuses.”
