‘Alaskan Bush People’ Canceled: Fans Petition For Renewal Amid Emerging Evidence Of Show’s Fakeness

As rumors continue to circulate about Discovery Channel’s Alaskan Bush People being canceled, fans have taken to the internet to show their support — and petition for the show’s renewal — even amidst ever-emerging evidence that the show is fake, and that the Browns are simply people who are pretending to be “wilderness survivors” for the money.

That’s the latest news according to Aussie News Network, who are claiming that in the face of Alaskan Bush People getting canceled, fans have been taking to the internet to petition the show’s executives to renew the show for another season. And while the show hasn’t officially been canceled yet, fans are still writing into the Discovery Channel in the hopes of saving the Brown family. In addition, the Brown family have dropped hints on social media that they will be returning to television this November, though there has been no official word released from the Discovery Channel as of yet with regards to the show’s status (and, really, if the show was going to return, wouldn’t there be some kind of promotion from the network by now?).

Could it be possible that the show will return to an online network, or that the show will return but on a different network altogether?

It’s pretty interesting that people out there continue to beg for a show that’s been exposed as fake, and are trying to prevent Alaskan Bush People from being canceled, but according to Morning Ledger, that’s exactly what’s happening. As evidence continues to emerge that the show is fake (thanks, in no small part, to the Season 5 finale that had a very different effect than anyone, including the show’s creators, thought would happen), Morning Ledger has taken the liberty of pointing out the different discrepancies between the perceptions and the realities of the show.

First, according to them, while the Brown family may have been poor before the show hit the airwaves, that’s certainly not the case now. After all, they were able to afford a trip to Hawaii for all of them during the peak tourist season, and when you factor in the cost of airfare from Alaska alone, that’s no small expense. Second, Billy Bryan Brown is an accomplished author (his book, One Wave at a Time, was a huge success and was being shopped for a movie deal before it became the Alaskan Bush People show), so the Brown family hasn’t lived “in the bush” since at least 2007, when the book was released. Finally, the show doesn’t depict an accurate representation of how the real Alaskan bush people live — namely, the indigenous Alaskans (Inuits) who have been honoring the traditions of their ancestors for centuries.

Of course, the news that Alaskan Bush People might be canceled because of its fakeness should come as no surprise to those who regularly read The Inquisitr because our previous reports of Alaskan Bush People being canceled made it clear that the show was nothing more than a sham. In addition to the recent reports uncovered by Morning Ledger, our reports indicated that there have been very generous tax credits granted to Alaska to bring reality shows to the area (which explains why you’re now seeing so many Alaska-based reality shows). In addition, the show is — according to other Alaskans who live in the state — not an accurate representation of life in Alaska or life in the bush for that matter.
