Lee Min Ho Talks ‘The Legend Of The Blue Sea’ And His Big K-Drama Comeback – Check Out The Series Trailer [Video]

Lee Min Ho is set make his big comeback to Korean dramas with The Legend Of The Blue Sea. As Soompi reports, Legend will be Min Ho’s first role in a Korean drama since 2013’s Heirs.

The producers of the k-drama released a teaser for the show recently. Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun, his co-star, look gorgeous in the clip but the mood looks very somber. Is this an indication of what the tone of the drama will be like?

The upcoming k-drama is based on a South Korean folktale about a fisherman who catches a mermaid and falls in love with her. According to ITech Post, in Legend Of The Blue Sea, Lee Min Ho will play a double role and some time travel is involved. Min Ho will play a magistrate and nobleman’s son named Kim Dam Lim from the Joseon Dynasty. His second role will be as Heo Joon Jae, a nefarious con artist living in modern day Seoul.

Jun Ji Hyun will play a mermaid named Shim Chung, who comes to the city looking for love.

According to Soompi, in the teaser, you can hear her character saying, “I’m still going to keep my promise. Even if a storm comes, or there’s no one there so it feels lonely, or I feel afraid because its a path I’ve never walked on, I’m going to persevere and go to you.”

Lee Min Ho, in a recent interview, said that he was very excited about the new drama.

“I’m nervous and excited to see how everyone will respond to it,” he said. “I get to act out two roles on ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea,’ including one as a conman and so I’ll be able to show many diverse sides to me. Please look forward to seeing them.”

These days, Lee Min Ho has been in the news more for his alleged relationship drama than his work as an actor. Recently, rumors were swirling that Min Ho and Bae Suzy, his girlfriend, were getting married soon and that Suzy could be pregnant with his child already.
