President Obama Discusses Nicki Minaj And Mariah Carey Feud On ‘American Idol’
Barack Obama has taken time out of his incredibly busy schedule to discuss a subject that is near and dear to hearts of all Americans: the feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on the set of American Idol. According to the Examiner, the President of the United States of America has decided to weigh in on the confrontation between the two titans.
However, in true presidential fashion, Obama has decided to remain diplomatic in his approach to the topic. Instead of taking sides in the matter, he opted to take the middle ground. In other words, Obama isn’t going to alienate potential votes by choosing a particular side.
“You know what, I think they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident … I think that both outstanding artists are going to make sure that they are moving forward and not going backwards,” Obama explained during the interview.
When asked who he would choose between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, the President quickly sung the praises of both artists. However, Obama did admit that, while Mariah Carey has done several events for him in the past, Nicki Minaj is the one on his iPod.
Of course, President Obama isn’t the only one discussing Nicki Minaj lately. After proclaiming that she would have killed the artist had she mouthed off to her in such a way, the legendary Stevie Nicks has apologized for saying she would have murdered Minaj on American Idol.
“I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj’s behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews,” she explained to The Hollywood Reporter. “It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking. I think all artists should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry.”
