‘iZombie’ Season 3 Release Date, Updates, And Other Details Fans Need To Have

A number of predictions and speculations have started to swirl regarding Season 3 of iZombie, including the release date. Most iZombie fans already know the series has been renewed for Season 3. The question is, has the network revealed a specific release date?

Unfortunately, Game N Guide reports that iZombie fans will have to continue to wait awhile for the official release date of Season 3. Outside of knowing CW made the decision to push the release of Season 3 to 2017, there hasn’t been an exact release date announced.

CW claims to have made the decision to push the release date of iZombie Season 3 to 2017 in order to strengthen the midseason programming. iZombie fans began to grow concerned that the show would not be renewed for Season 3 when Season 2 did not do as well as the Season 1 did. According to PremiereDate.tv, Season 2 of iZombie had roughly 22 percent less viewers than Season 1 of the series did.

This pretty steep decline in views did cause fans of the series to panic. Would iZombie be canceled? Fortunately, the network has decided to give the series another chance by renewing it for Season 3. It is also likely the network changed the release date up to see if the change would help increase the ratings. If iZombie does not manage to maintain their viewer ratings from last season or see an increase, this could be the last season fans get to enjoy.

For iZombie fans who just can’t get enough of the show, spoilers for Season 3 are starting to swirl, even though the season doesn’t even have an official release date yet. For example, showrunner Rob Thomas has revealed that Liv is going to be luckier in the love department this season. While the show is just entering Season 3, fans may remember Liv doesn’t exactly have the most luck in the boyfriend department. In fact, she has already had two boyfriends die. Rumor has it that she will have a boyfriend who doesn’t die this time around.

Now, this spoiler doesn’t necessarily mean Liv is going to find her soul mate in Season 3. After all, they could still break up for other reasons. But, at least she doesn’t have to go through the devastation of losing a boyfriend because he died again. Showrunner Rob Thomas did suggest that the love interest Liv acquires in iZombie Season 3 is not going to last, but at least the lucky guy isn’t going to have to die for the relationship to come to an end – at least we hope.

Rumor has it the Zombie Army is also going to continue to grow in Season 3. Eventually it is going to get to a point where Liv is offered a slot in the army. Is it possible the army is where she meets her boyfriend? Is her boyfriend also going to be a zombie or is he going to be human? Only time will tell how exactly this mysterious relationship is going to turn out with Liv.

Another Season 3 spoiler includes the fact that Liv is going to consume the brain of a dominatrix. iZombie fans can only assume this will lead to a lot of interesting consequences and likely a pretty funny episode. The question is, will this mysterious boyfriend have entered Liv’s life by the time she eats the brain of a dominatrix? Could eating that particular brain cause some problems between her and her new mysterious boyfriend?

Other than a few spoilers and a lot of speculation, nothing is clear or set in stone regarding iZombie Season 3. Fans can only hope CW does not make everyone wait too many months into 2017 to finalize the release date of Season 3.
