Red Bull Stratos skydiver Fearless Felix Baumgartner is about to jump from the edge of space and you can watch it live online.

Baumgartner’s record breaking jump has been delayed several times due to weather but the team is “optimistic” that they will make history today.

The Red Bull Stratos Team writes: “Team is optimistic for calm winds this morning. Moving forward with preparations for launch.”

Baumgartner is expected to make his jump a little after 10 am this morning. The skydiver will have several cameras strapped to his body and you’ll be able to watch the 120,000 foot fall live online with the video embedded below.

If everything goes according to plan, Fearless Felix will be breaking through the sound barrier in about 45 minutes. Baumgartner will be jumping from a weather balloon at a height of about 23 miles. He expects to hit speeds of more than 690 mph during his jump.

The Red Bull Stratos team will need very still winds to get the balloon off the ground. After the jump was cancelled earlier this week the team said that it was necessary for winds to stay below 2 mph during the first 700 feet of the balloons ascent.
