Why Marrying Tristan Thompson Would Be The Biggest Mistake Of Khloe Kardashian’s Life

Khloe Kardashian has been pretty low-key about her new relationship with Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson, but that hasn’t stopped engagement rumors from spreading.

If there’s any truth behind said rumors, then Khloe must not be thinking clearly. The 32-year-old is still dealing with the fallout from her marriage to former NBA player Lamar Odom. Since Odom, Khloe has been romantically linked to rappers and other sports stars, such as James Harden, whom she publicly criticized for cheating during their relationship.

Khloe doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to dating other celebrities, but that hasn’t stopped her from trying. Now, her sights seem to be set on 25-year-old Thompson despite all the baggage and drama that accompanies the athlete.

Thompson is said to be expecting his first child with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, whom he dated on and off for the past three years. According to the International Business Times, Thompson’s own father congratulated Craig on her pregnancy and said he hopes it “opens his son’s eyes.” Sources were quoted as saying Khloe is well aware of the situation and is simply having fun dating right now.

“Khloé’s having fun with him right now and just doesn’t want any drama.”

If drama isn’t what Kardashian is after, then she needs to move on from this man. At eight months pregnant, Jordan is set to give birth to Tristan’s son soon, and this can only lead to complications for Khloe and her beau.

Let’s not overlook how quickly Thompson moved on from his relationship with his child’s mother to dating a Kardashian. Khloe and Tristan went public in September, meaning Craig was already well into her pregnancy.

It’s also been reported by Us Weekly that Thompson was attending Kevin Hart’s August wedding with Craig when he first met Khloe, which makes everything a bit more scandalous.

There’s also the age difference to take into account. Khloe is seven years older than Tristan, meaning she’s probably much more mature and focused on different things in life at the moment. Thompson is a 20-something professional basketball player, and statistically speaking, those facts don’t add up to long-term commitment. Sure, Thompson may have surprised Khloe with adorable balloons after her American Denim line launch, but does that really equate to “keeper?”

Age difference and impending fatherhood aside, Thompson’s job keeps him either on the road or in Ohio. That’s a bit of a distance from Los Angeles, where Khloe mostly resides. If Kardashian is all about having fun and taking it one day at a time with her new man, shouldn’t she want a guy who actually lives in the same state as her?

Despite the rampant rumors of an engagement between Khloe and Tristan, and the rumors that she is also expecting his baby, sources say there’s no truth to them. Perhaps Khloe did learn her lesson from her failed and drawn-out marriage to Lamar Odom, or perhaps she’s tired of being cheated on by basketball players, but so far she isn’t expressing a desire to tie the knot just yet. We can only hope she maintains a level head as she and Thompson continue to date.

Their relationship seems to be behind several popular jokes on Twitter and other social media platforms, and that is never a good sign. And if Khloe knows what’s good for her, she’ll laugh along with them and not get too serious with her rebounding boyfriend.

If there’s one thing a Kardashian is good at, it’s attracting drama. From Kylie Jenner’s underage relationship with rapper Tyga, to Kourtney Kardashian’s very public and very messy relationship with recovering addict Scott Disick, these ladies sure know how to pick ’em. Maybe it’s time “momager” Kris Jenner steps in and helps Khloe realize this isn’t a path she wants to go down again.
