‘Pawn Stars’ Expert And ‘Counting Cars’ Star Danny Koker Stumps For Trump

Despite more and more Republicans shunning their presidential candidate Donald Trump, there are some who are going to support Trump no matter what accusations are thrown at him. As one of the celebrities supporting Donald Trump, fellow reality star Danny Koker was not afraid of speaking out in support of the Republican candidate before the most recent presidential debate. Koker spoke to Fox Business about his concern as a small business owner and why he is stumping for Trump. Koker stuck his neck out despite what happened to his friend, Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars, who lost business because a year ago he publicly endorsed a different Republican candidate.

Koker went on television because he believes that Trump can relate to his situation as a business owner. Both are in a position to create jobs and hire people and both have to face regulations and deal with business taxes.

“I’ve got several businesses based out of Las Vegas here, try to create jobs for real people that have real families and they’re paying their real bills. And as you work harder, and as you try to become more and more successful, you seem to become more and more penalized whether it’s with taxes or with regulations.”

Despite the lowering numbers of Trump supporters, Koker insists that Trump is the candidate that will take care of problems that small business owners are facing. Without actually naming President Obama, Koker stated that the past seven and a half years of the current administration has not done what he considered “its job” to help small business owners.

“We’ve been dealing with an administration that has not done its job for the past seven and a half plus years right now. And in my opinion, as a businessman, I need somebody that’s going to help fix that.”

The star of the History Channel show Counting Cars expressed his belief that only a businessman like Trump could understand the needs of a small business owner. He stated his belief that if Trump became president, he would make government step aside and allow small businesses to improve.

“I believe that a businessman can truly help other businessmen in that respect. And it’s the small businesses in my opinion that helps to stimulate and grow the economy.”

Some could also say that this is the case of a millionaire supporting a billionaire, as the website How Rich states that Danny Koker is worth $10 million dollars, although that is a drop in the bucket compared to Donald Trump’s billions. Besides the reality show, Koker owns Count’s Kustoms, a hotrod and chopper shop that Counting Cars is filmed at. There are some theories that the shop is responsible for restoring the infamous Wayne’s World 1976 AMC Pacer that the Pawn Stars shop just auctioned off for a record amount. We can only hope that a future episode of Pawn Stars or Counting Cars can show the transformation to pumped up car. In addition, Koker, son of Danny Koker Sr., singer from Cathedral Quartet, is also a heavy metal singer. He has performed with Britny Fox and other bands.

Koker is quite brave to continue to publicly stand up for Trump. It seems likely that one of his reality star friends may have told him to avoid the press and the endorsement because this was a business killer. Rick Harrison, the owner of the World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop and star of the popular History Channel Show Pawn Stars, stood up for Marco Rubio just a year ago. He filmed a commercial in the pawn shop endorsing Rubio and he says that this hurt his business.

Since putting himself out, Harrison claims that this endorsement hurt his bottom line. Chumlee’s boss told CNN that by endorsing Rubio, he was frowned on by others.

“I suddenly became famous and I was the one willing to throw my career away to endorse a Republican. When you endorse a Republican, everyone sort of frowns on you. I don’t know why, but hey.”

Not only was he frowned upon, but this endorsement also affected his pocketbook.

“There have been some endorsements that didn’t happen.”

When Chris Moody of the station asked Harrison if this endorsement could mean the reality star could lose the show, Harrison answered affirmatively.

“It does worry me to a degree.”

Does Danny Koker’s of Counting Cars and Rick Harrison’s of Pawn Stars endorsements of Republican candidates change your viewing habits? Do you think that either should worry about losing their show because they supported a Republican candidate?
