Very Lucky Des Moines Baby’s Birth Data Lines Up In Nice, Unique Numerological Sequence

Des Moines, IA – Even if she never gets famous, Laila Fitzgerald will always boast a unique numerological sequence associated with her birth.

Laila wighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces when she arrived in the world on Thursday, which was 10/11/12, and was born at 13:14 in military time (1:14pm to civilians). Do you see it? For the slow or non-numerological inclined, that’s a straight line of 8-9-10-11-12-13-14. That’s why media outlets like Omaha.com and Salon are calling Laila Fitzgerald a “numerologist’s delight” thanks to the “dream alignment.”

Laila’s mother, 26-year-old Katie Deremiah, expected her newborn baby girl on October 19, but started having contractions on Tuesday and figured that she might as well repeat another numerological feat from last fall when she gave birth to Jackson on September 10, also known as 9/10/11.

“We had a feeling it was going to be today,” she said, holding a sleeping, 4-hour-old Laila at Iowa Methodist Medical Center Thursday evening.

Laila’s father, 26-year-old Ryan Fitzgerald, said that he had discussed the potential for the numerological alignment if you “cheat” with military time on Thursday morning. The hospital administration noted the time of birth in military time, and when Laila was weighed in, the “numerological delight” was completed.

Could the mathematically-inclined couple complete this feat a third time? “11/12/13, and then 12/13/14 – two more shots,” Ryan told WBIR before relenting, “I don’t know if that’s going to happen.”

Still, with those odds, I’d be trying my hand at the lottery if I were the Fitzgeralds.

What do you think of Laila Fitzgerald’s story? Happy coincidence or divine luck?
