Miley Cyrus Is Returning To ‘The Voice’ For Season 13, But Has Been Replaced By Gwen Stefani For Season 12? What About Christina Aguilera?

Miley Cyrus appears to have won over NBC producers, who recently invited her back to The Voice for its 13th season.

Earlier this week, after it was announced that Gwen Stefani would be returning to her coaching role for the upcoming 12th season of the singing competition. Cyrus took to Twitter, where she confirmed she would also be returning to the show, but not until next fall.

After saying that they were so happy, the official Twitter page of The Voice also confirmed the news of Miley Cyrus’ Season 13 return.

The 11th season of The Voice, which began airing last month, was the first season for Miley Cyrus, who landed a coaching role alongside Alicia Keys, who was also new for Season 11, and the returning men of the show, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Prior to Miley Cyrus’ addition, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera had been alternating seasons as coach.

While Stefani was expected to return to The Voice for Season 11, the mother-of-three was unable to do so due to her This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour, which kicked off in July and continued through October. As for why Aguilera won’t be returning to her normal routine of taking over the even-numbered seasons, that has yet to be revealed. However, now that the show has given a chance to the two-women, two-men panel, Aguilera could be returning to the show during a future season, as could any of the series’ past coaches.

As soon as Miley Cyrus was brought onto the series, rumors of a feud between her and Adam Levine began swirling. In April of this year, as The Voice cast began shooting their promotional materials and the early scenes of the show, a Radar Online source claimed the Maroon 5 singer had already tired of Cyrus’ loud-mouth ways and annoying behavior.

As the outlet explained, a production source on the NBC series claimed Levine, who has been with the show since it began, was at war with Cyrus just two weeks into filming.

“Adam and Miley were non-stop bickering during their last taping together,” the insider said. “He nitpicks almost every single thing she says. Adam seems to find Miley to be extremely loud-mouthed and absolutely annoying!”

According to the report, Christina Aguilera was the one who enlisted Miley Cyrus to join the series earlier this year and did so in an effort to keep Gwen Stefani away from the show. However, as has since been revealed, Aguilera didn’t succeed. That said, Aguilera has reportedly remained in a nasty feud with Blake Shelton, the boyfriend of Stefani, who would love to have her on each and every season.

“Blake hates the fact that Gwen is no longer with him in the judges’ chairs this season,” an on-set source told Radar Online of Season 11. “Everyone knows this and he is taking it out on Christina, and they are not getting a long at all.”

Meanwhile, executives were said to be second-guessing their decision to bring Miley Cyrus to the show in a full-time role due to her inability to get along with Levine, who is likely not going anywhere anytime soon.

“[Miley Cyrus] cannot get along with Adam to save her life!” the insider claimed.
