‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Spoilers: Nick And Sonia Still Together, Decide To Stay Married In Finale?

The highly-anticipated Married at First Sight Season 4 finale airs next Tuesday, October 25 on FYI. In “Till Death Do Us Part,” Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados and Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez will have to decide if they want to stay married after being together for six weeks.

When Sonia moved out of Nick’s apartment, Married at First Sight Season 4, fans thought that it would be the end for the couple. The 32-year-old vacation rental manager infamously told his wife that he is giving up on the experiment, adding that he no longer feels attracted to her. Nick even suspected that the MAFS experts made a mistake in matching them together.

“The attraction has dwindled from the beginning and it’s not something that she’s done. I don’t think she’s ugly by any means. We’re married but do I feel like I’m a husband? I want to feel that way. I don’t feel like I’m filling in that role a hundred percent yet,” he explained.

After talking to Pastor Cal Roberson, a Married at First Sight Season 4 expert, Nick and Sonia decided to give their relationship another chance. Although the experts believed that they are compatible, Pastor Cal explained that they still have to put in the effort to make their marriage work. Surprisingly, the two have gone a long way since that huge fight. It seems like Sonia moving out of their home made Nick realize how compatible they really are.

In this week’s episode of Married at First Sight Season 4, “Forsaking All Others,” Nick Pendergrast did everything to convince Sonia Granados to move back. The MAFS star pointed out they need to give living together another chance before decision day comes. He even volunteered to sleep on the couch if it would make Sonia more comfortable. While Nick has yet to fall in love with his wife, he shared that he wanted to give his 100 percent to the social experiment and was hoping that Sonia would do the same.

“I don’t see her really moving back in so I don’t know if that’s happening or not. She’s not emotionally ready or feels like it’s worth it. I feel like she should be giving it a more forward effort because in a week we are going to decide if we are going to stay married. I’m scared. It feels like our marriage might be over.”

In the end, Nick failed to convince Sonia to move back in. Although she has forgiven him, Sonia explained that she is just not ready to live with Nick just yet. The 33-year-old social worker, however, insisted that this does not mean that she is giving up on the marriage.

“I’m not giving up at all. I’m here, I’m present. I’m married to him but I’m protecting myself,” she explained.

Even if Nick failed to convince Sonia to move back in, she made an effort to show him that she appreciates all the effort he has been doing to win her back. The Married at First Sight Season 4 star decided to wear her wedding ring again, to Nick’s surprise. Sonia explained that this is her way of showing Nick that she is committed to the process. Seeing Sonia wear her wedding ring again gave Nick hope that their marriage is not doomed after all.

“I think the ring is definitely a positive step. Is she going to move back in? I don’t know. But this shows me that she believes in our marriage,” he said.
