Brad Pitt Reunites With His Oldest Son Maddox Jolie-Pitt After Their Alleged Plane Fight

Brad Pitt and his oldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, have reunited for the first time since their alleged plane fight, which is believed to have prompted Angelina Jolie’s September 19 divorce filing.

On Wednesday, Brad Pitt and 15-year-old Maddox, who reportedly was not present during Pitt’s initial meeting with his kids, including Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight, came face-to-face with a therapist present.

On October 20, TMZ confirmed the meeting and told readers that while a plan had been put into place for Brad Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt to reunite a while back, the therapist didn’t feel that the meeting time was right and the boy reportedly wasn’t on board with the idea either. Meanwhile, Brad Pitt has reportedly had more than one visit with his other children.

Following Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing last month, which came just days after Brad Pitt was allegedly involved in an altercation with Maddox on their private jet, the estranged couple agreed to a temporary custody plan for their children, which was created by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. As per the agreement, Jolie was given temporary physical custody while Pitt was granted visitation.

Currently, the Los Angeles Country Department of Children and Family Services is continuing their investigation of the airplane incident involving Brad Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt and recently, Jolie and her children were questioned by the FBI, who is said to be on a “fact-finding mission.” That said, law enforcement sources told TMZ that there is no investigation going on, only fact-finding.

Meanwhile, despite citing drug use and anger issues in her divorce filing, sources close to Angelina Jolie said that the actress wants her family to function with a fully involved mother and father.

For weeks after Jolie filed for divorce, Brad Pitt was kept from his children but finally, earlier this month, after his six kids underwent counseling to prepare them for their reunion with their father, Pitt was finally able to see his children.

“[Brad Pitt] wanted to make sure the meeting would be the most productive for the kids,” a source explained to Us Weekly magazine on October 19.

Brad Pitt’s reunion with his children occurred on October 8 at one of the Los Angeles homes he once shared with Jolie. However, missing from the reunion was Maddox, who allegedly refused to attend after choosing to take his mother’s side in her split from Brad Pitt.

“[Maddox Jolie-Pitt] chose not to go and stayed with Angie,” said a source close to Jolie. “[The visit] wasn’t full of joy and happiness… It was emotional for [Brad Pitt].”

Since Jolie filed documents to end her marriage to Brad Pitt, the couple has reportedly been working with their attorneys and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to ensure that the process of their custody battle runs as smoothly as possible.

“He and Angie agreed on steps that needed to be completed,” the magazine’s source explained.

As for the future of Brad Pitt’s relationship with Maddox, it isn’t looking too good. As the source revealed, Maddox is “very close” to his mom and “doesn’t really see himself as Brad’s son.”

Another Jolie source told the magazine, “Maddox never wants to see [Brad Pitt] again.”

Jolie “is not trying to poison the kids against Brad.… She wants them to have a relationship with him once their health and safety is assured,” the source continued.

However, no other visitations between Brad Pitt and Maddox have been scheduled.
