Kim Kardashian: Still Refusing To Film ‘KUWTK’ In Wake Of Robbery, Source Reports

The fallout from the Kim Kardashian robbery is preventing the 35-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star from appearing on film.

Shortly after Kim was held at gunpoint and robbed of more than $10 million in jewels, Hollywood Life reported that a spokesperson for the E! network told reporters the show would be put on hold indefinitely as Kim Kardashian recovers from the trauma of the Paris robbery.

At the time spokesperson said that Kim’s “well-being is [the] core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume.”

The show has since resumed production but in a limited capacity. Read: without Kim.

In fact, according to the Hollywood Life source, KUWTK has not resumed full-scale production because Kim K is still refusing to shoot for the show. Additionally, an unnamed source for Hollywood Life reports that the reality TV mogul has yet to decide how and when (or if) she’ll resume public life.

“Kim [Kardashian] is not ready to return to the show and discuss what happened in Paris. It’s way too soon. She’s not sure yet if she’s going to do a one-on-one interview with someone like Ryan Seacrest or talk about it on the show. She’s still healing and that’s going to take a long time.”

The source went on to say that Kim’s husband, rapper Kanye West, is concerned with his wife’s mental health. As a result, Kanye has reportedly put his foot down to people pushing Kardashian for interviews and public appearances.

“Plus Kanye [West] has been encouraging her to take things slow and to not talk about what happened until she’s good and ready. He’s also been telling Kris [Jenner] not to force her into giving any interviews until he gives the OK.”

After the jewelry heist, some fans are wondering whether Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be canceled. In fact, some of the rumors of cancellation began floating around the internet even before Kardashian was robbed.

Kim Kardashian’s robbery made headlines during Paris Fashion Week at the beginning of October. According to reports, Kardashian was sleeping in her Paris apartment when two masked men burst into her bedroom, bound and gagged the selfie queen, and locked her in a bathroom. The men proceeded to steal more than $10 million in jewelry, including a $4.5 million ring given to Kim by Kanye.

In the weeks since the robbery, Kim Kardashian has retreated entirely from public life. The normally active social media queen has not posted anything to Instagram or Twitter, and she’s only been photographed in public on one occasion. She’s canceled all of her appearances, and rumor has it that Kardashian has also canceled her birthday party. Kim turns 36 on Friday, and in the past, Kim has always celebrated her birthday with lavish birthday parties. Not the case this year.

Since the robbery, Kim’s sister Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian have both spoken out about their sister’s traumatic ordeal. Each of the sisters has said that Kim is “not doing that well,” and Kourtney said as recently as Wednesday that Kim is “not doing great.” A previous report indicated that Kim only feels safe in her Bel-Air home.

What do you think of Kim Kardashian’s reported refusal to film Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Do you think the reality TV star should take as much time as she wants before returning to work? Why or why not?
