Tamar Braxton Slammed By Toya Wright After ‘The Real’ Drama, ‘When People Show You Who They Are, Believe Them’

Tamar Braxton’s feud with former friend Toya Wright still appears to be alive and well, and Toya is now dishing on the drama between the twosome that hit the headlines after Wright appeared on The Real.

Toya spoke out about the current status of her relationship with Braxton in a new interview with Wetpaint, where she admitted that she actually hasn’t spoken to Tamar since their pretty nasty feud blew up last month.

“I have nothing against Tamar, we were friends,” Wright said in the interview, just weeks after Tamar infamously unfollowed Wright on social media after she appeared on the daytime talk show The Real. “That situation I just don’t really understand.”

Toya then went on to reveal that she actually discovered that she and Braxton were no longer friends via social media, something she touched on in her memoir In My Own Words… My Reality, but revealed to Wetpaint that despite the drama, she has no plans to hold a grudge against Tamar amid their feud.

“I don’t like bad blood or anything like that,” Wright continued of her feud with Braxton, adding that she “wouldn’t mind” sitting down and talking with Tamar about the drama that ensued after she appeared on the Season 3 premiere of The Real, despite Tamar making it pretty clear that she was no longer friendly with her former co-stars Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Loni Love following her firing.

But while Wright is willing to talk things out with Braxton, it sounds like Toya and Tamar won’t be rekindling their friendship anytime soon.

“Something about me, I live by these words,” Wright said when asked if she and Tamar could potentially reconcile their friendship in the wake of their drama, “When people show you who they really are, believe them.”

Toya’s confessions about Tamar come just days after their feud hit the headlines after Braxton opted to unfollow Wright and singer Monica on Instagram after both posted snaps of themselves on The Real, the talk show Braxton was sensationally fired from back in May.

Toya Wright then went on to write about her drama with Tamar Braxton in her book In My Own Words… My Reality following her appearance on the show, where she confessed that she believes Braxton actually got her banned from the show while she was a co-host before admitting that she then found out about her and Tamar’s feud via fans on social media.

“My friend was on the talk show for what I believe was two seasons and I was never able to go on there,” Toya wrote in the memoir of appearing on The Real according to BET, but did not mention Tamar by name. “After my friend was fired, my publicist was able to get me on the show, which I found to be strange.”

“Little did I know, when I was done with the show I was gonna lose a friend and get unfollowed,” Toya continued, seemingly of Braxton. “I logged on to my social media accounts to see that I was tagged in all kinds of posts saying that myself and another friend were unfollowed for going on the show.”

Toya’s claims came just days after Braxton denied that her appearance on The Real was the reason she unfollowed her in a pretty lengthy rant on Instagram, instead telling her more than two million followers that she clicked the unfollow button for both Wright and Monica because they post too much.

“Like why does it have to be ‘Houston she has ANOTHER problem’… she’s throwing shade cause WHILE I don’t feel well I don’t want to see certain s*** on my page?” Braxton captioned an Instagram photo in September, “but that means I’m petty cause according to you ALL… unfollowing folks means DRAMA!”

“Some people post too d**n much!!” Tamar continued after fans asked why she unfollowed Toya and Monica. “I will and do unfollow they a** cause I don’t feel like seeing your 147,997,886 zillion posts,” Tamar then hit back.

But while Braxton seemingly denied instigating the feud with Toya, she appeared to make it pretty clear that she was done with their friendship just days later while addressing the drama on the social media site.

Tamar uploaded a post about losing a friend to Instagram on October 11, where she appeared to be referring to her feud with Wright, though the Braxton Family Values star did not mention her by name.

“You may MISS the person but good riddance!” Braxton captioned the upload in part, which spoke about not “restoring unhealthy past relationships” and the purging of friendships that do not “add value and purpose to your life.”
