Danica Patrick headed to NASCAR, sort of

It seems more and more likely that Danica Patrick will be involved in the world of NASCAR come 2010. After taking the time to visit Tony Stewart and his Stewart-Haas Race Shops several times over the last few months it seems Danica is ready to follow Stewart on a similar path to the world of NASCAR.
IRL fans should relax as it seems that Danica will race a full time IRL entry in 2010, but her off weekends and such are apparently going to be filled with a lot more racing in other kinds of cars. It seems that Tony will field a car for Danica in many different forms of NASCAR racing for 2010.
What the likely means is Danica will be in an ARCA car for the Speed Weeks race in Daytona next February, and look for her to make NASCAR starts in both the Truck and Nationwide series on the many different kinds of tracks NASCAR runs on. While this is a move to get Danica some much needed experience in Stock Cars, it is also a move to help her get a NASCAR license. NASCAR does not allow just any one to drive at Daytona and Talladega, usually a driver has to prove they can handle that in an ARCA car before they are allowed to attempt it in a Truck or Nationwide series car.
Since Stewart himself does not operate a Truck or Nationwide series team, a third party will be brought in to build and maintain the cars he will field for Danica. Most likely that third party will be Kevin Harvick Inc. who fields teams in both series and whose owners happen to be close friends of Stewart.
