Miley Cyrus Quits ‘Bonnie And Clyde’ TV Miniseries

Miley Cyrus has quit her role on Bonnie & Clyde, the upcoming television miniseries that will tell the story of the most infamous couple in American crime history.

As recently as September, Cyrus was reportedly involved in final talks for the role of Bonnie in the series, which was being produced for A+E’s History and Lifetime channels.

Yet a new report from Gossip Cop suggests the former Disney starlet has now left the project for unspecified reasons and that producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are already sounding out other actresses for the role of Bonnie Parker. It has not been revealed who will play Parker’s love interest Clyde Barrow, but it seems Miley Cyrus’ involvement in the Bonnie and Clyde project is now over.

It is unknown what caused the actress to back out of the series, though HollywoodLife mischievously speculates that her decision not to appear in Bonnie & Clyde is somehow related to her reported relationship troubles with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

Cyrus, who first soared to fame as teen star Hannah Montana, has declined to commented on the latest development.

Do you think the Miley Cyrus name would have ensured success for the Bonnie and Clyde miniseries, or would someone with more acting chops be a wiser choice?
