Song Joong Ki Is ‘Intelligent’ And ‘Really Gentle’ Claims SHINee’s Minho

Another South Korean star has lauded Song Joong Ki. In a recent appearance on tVN’s Problematic Men, SHINee’s Minho talked about his celebrity friends. As reported by Soompi, he recalled how he used to work with Song Joong Ki when they were just starting out on Let’s Go Dream Team 2.

Minho revealed that he’s also close to other celebrities, including Kim Woo Bin, Im Joo Hwan, Kim Ki Bang, Jo In Sung, and EXO’s D.O. However, when asked who he thinks is the smartest, he answered in a heartbeat that it’s the Descendants of the Sun actor.

“In my opinion, I think it would have to be Song Joong Ki. He really is intelligent. When we talk, he’s very logical…even if we say the same things, he has this way of explaining his exact reasoning when he speaks. He not only sounds clever but he actually is smart in real life. He’s also really gentle.”

Prior to being catapulted into fame, Song Joong Ki had scholastic achievements to be proud of. His television debut wasn’t even in a drama, but in a game show called Quiz Korea, where his smartness gave him a spot in the finals.

When he was in high school, Song Joong Ki not only received recognition for having the highest grades in all of his subjects, but also got an award for his perfect attendance. He was likewise elected as the vice president of their student council. In college, he studied Business Administration at the renowned Sungkyunkwan University after garnering 380 points out of 400 on his entrance exam. He graduated in 2012.

It’s been months since Descendants of the Sun ended and even though Song Joong Ki is now working on a new project, Battleship Island, fans continue to pair him with his former co-star, Song Hye Kyo.

While their respective managements maintain that they are nothing but close friends, people still gush over the “SongSong” couple. Many believe that the two are merely hiding their relationship given the rigorous demands of their work.

Speculations have again emerged after the two sent a coffee truck to Moonlight Drawn by Cloud actor Park Bo Gum on the set of the drama. “My mood is UP! My energy is springing! Thank you,” Park Bo Gum captioned his photo. He even used a “SongSong” sound effect.

Coffee Pong, the company responsible for the coffee trucks, described Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo as “angels right down to their bones.”

“Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki asked us to send a coffee truck to Park Bo Gum, director Baek Sang Hoon, director of photography Kim Si Hyung, and the staff as they were going to be working hard during an all-night shoot. Three actors who are truly angels right down to their bones!”

It can be remembered that Song Hye Kyo extended the same gesture to Song Joong Ki when he was busy filming for Battleship Island. The Endless Love actress sent the gift to Song Joong Ki and his fellow cast members to encourage them while working in the province of Gwangon.

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo seem to have a fascination for giving matching gifts. When their Descendants of the Sun co-star Kim Min Suk moved into a new home, Song Joong Ki gifted him a refrigerator while Song Hye Kyo gave him a laundry machine.

Since Song Hye Kyo will celebrate her birthday next month, some are wondering about the plans of her former leading man. Earlier this year, Song Joong Ki was previously photographed shopping at a local Hermes store although it isn’t confirmed if the actor made the purchase for Song Hye Kyo or for his family members.
