Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris Texting Again, But Harris’ Friend Says Swift Was ‘Brutal’

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are texting again, according to People magazine. The former lovebirds have apparently put the bad blood behind them, but are they getting back together?

Ever since Taylor Swift broke up with Calvin Harris more than three months ago, their bad blood has been making headlines with new details almost every week. And now a source confirmed to Us Magazine that the duo is texting again.

However, don’t get too excited just yet! They only had a “very brief, simple” text exchange, and it was done because they knew that they’d eventually run into each other at different events and so they want it to be “cool,” the source said.

“So if the media sees them in the same place, they won’t start freaking out. They are cool again but absolutely [have] no plans to get back together.”

So basically it was more of an olive branch between Taylor Swift and Harris. The same source also denied rumors that the DJ-producer’s most recent single titled “My Way” was about his former love.

Harris has also previously denied the rumors and insisted that the song is not about the “Bad Blood” singer. Even if Taylor Swift and Harris had a “brief” text exchange, it’s already a significant progress as the two couldn’t stand each other after their headline-making breakup in June.

It was Taylor Swift who triggered a furious response from her ex-boyfriend, as she was spotted kissing actor Tom Hiddleston just two weeks following her breakup with Harris. And so the DJ-producer criticized his former love for trying to take all the credit for his summer hit song “This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna.

Harris took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the incident and told Taylor Swift to focus on her relationship with Hiddleston instead of trying to tear him down.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

Taylor Swift and Harris even briefly unfollowed each other on social media (the universal social media sign that you’re feuding with someone) in July. Interestingly, the 26-year-old singer seemed to have “shaken off” her then-new boyfriend Hiddleston too soon, as the two called it quits in early September.

Taylor Swift and the Thor actor reportedly had a big fight in August, which is why their romance lasted for only about three months.

Taylor Swift wasn’t exactly nice to her ex Harris, according to News Australia. The DJ-producer’s best pal, singer John Newman, who’s best known for his hit song “Love Me Again,” has revealed new details about the pair’s messy split.

It was actually Newman who revealed Taylor Swift had ghostwritten Harris’ hit song “This Is What You Came For” back in July. Interestingly, the “Love Me Again” singer initially posted a tweet with the mention of Swift’s name, but then deleted it and reposted it again but this time without mentioning the “Blank Space” singer.

In his interview with the Sun, Newman admitted that he is no longer communicating with Taylor Swift. Newman also revealed that the “Bad Blood” singer was “brutal” to Harris.

“From her side? Yeah, it did get brutal. I’m like Calvin, happy to take a back seat. I like my music to do the talking.”

The “Come and Get It” singer also added that he didn’t “agree” with what went on after their breakup, clearly referring to Taylor Swift’s decision to start a public relationship with Hiddleston so soon after the split.

“I wouldn’t know her well enough, weirdly. She’s in another world.”
