Lindsay Lohan Partners With German Company To Bring Energy Drinks To Syrian Refugees

Lindsay Lohan seems hot out of the gate to be the next Angelina Jolie in terms of her work with the needy all over the world, and she wants to start by bringing energy drinks to Syrian refugees. Lohan is serving the German energy drink, Mintanine at her new Athenian nightclub, and now she wants to do what she can to bring it to refugee camps in Turkey.

Lindsay Lohan and new beau Dennis Papageorgiou have opened a new nightclub in Athens called “Lohan,” says the Inquisitr. Lohan went in on the venture with Papageorgiou after breaking off his engagement with Russian playboy Egor Tarabasov because he allegedly was violent. Lohan claimed that Tarabasov made her pay for her own engagement ring. Lohan was at the grand opening of the nightclub Lohan, and says that she would like to make it a chain, opening in other cities.

Lindsay Lohan said that after visiting the refugee camps in Turkey, that she saw a need, says PageSix. Now she is doing what she can to bring the German energy drink, Mintanine to the Syrian refugees. A source in the Lohan camp says that she wants to give something to the refugees.

“There’s hardly food, water or anything,” else at the camp, so at this point sending anything is helpful. This is all part of Lindsay’s mission to help refugees.”

On the website, Mintanine is described as a “blue caffeine lemonade” and “lifestyle drink.” It is unclear what the drink can do for the Syrian refugees in terms of health, but the drink has a number of natural qualities.

“We do not use synthetic flavors or caffeine, no taurin, no aspartame, no inosit, but natural guarana.”

Lindsay Lohan was photographed carrying around a Quran, and has said she has a keen interest in the culture, says Emirates Woman. This combined with her visits to the refugee camps, with a scarf over her head has prompted renewed interest in whether or not she is interested in converting. She claims there has been backlash against her interest stateside.

“My very close friends, who have been there for me a lot, in London are Saudi and they gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning. It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.”

She believes that the reaction to her carrying the Quran was negative in America.

They crucified me for it in America,” she said. “They made me seem like Satan. I was a bad person for holding that Quran. I was so happy to leave [America] and go back to London after that, because I felt so unsafe in my own country. If this [Islam] is something that I want to learn, this is my own will.

Though the verbiage did not sound like Lohan, she seems to have positioned herself as a spokeswoman for Muslim causes and refugees. She says she can’t imagine what it must feel like to have people treating you like an outsider all the time.

Fan reaction has been mixed, but one fan on Facebook says if Islam helps Lohan find sobriety, then it is a good thing for her life and health.
