Blake Shelton Makes Out With Gwen Stefani To Forget Miranda Lambert?
Blake Shelton seems to be making up with Gwen Stefani after reports of him secretly meeting up with Miranda Lambert were revealed. The Voice coach was spotted making out with the former No Doubt lead singer in California just a few days ago. According to Radar Online, she’s allegedly determined to keep her boyfriend closer by packing on the PDA despite the cheating rumors.
The 40-year-old country superstar and the 47-year-old pop singer will celebrate their one-year anniversary next month. Maybe that’s why they are trying their best to bring back the spark in their relationship despite the rumors. According to Popsugar, the couple cuddled up and shared a few laughs before they picked up their keys at the restaurant’s valet. He was also spotted kissing his girlfriend even if there were onlookers nearby. Could the Oklahoma-born musician be doing this to forget about his ex-wife?
The Inquisitr previously reported that Blake Shelton secretly met up with Miranda Lambert at an event in Nashville while their respective partners Gwen Stefani and Anderson East were away. The country charmer allegedly lied to his girlfriend by claiming to have avoided his ex-wife at the event. However, he reportedly complimented her looks and congratulated her on her new song, “Vice.”
“Blake said he’s been carrying around a ton of emotional baggage and guilt since they divorced last summer,” an insider told Radar Online. “He told her that he regretted how their split became so nasty, and even suggested he wished their marriage could have worked out. He also told Miranda he misses her!”
The only known happening that the former husband and wife recently attended at the same time was the ACM Honor Awards. However, they were able to avoid an awkward run-in during the event. Us Weekly reported that Shelton was backstage when Lambert performed on stage; and when it was his time to perform on stage, she already left. By the way, Ryan Auditorium’s seating area was arranged, so there’s a chance that the two will bump into each other. Unfortunately, the “She’s Got a Way With Words” hitmaker didn’t have an audience seat at all.
“Blake and Miranda didn’t request to be far away from each other, but they never interacted,” a source revealed. “Everyone at the ACMs knew they wouldn’t want to cross paths.”
It seems that the exes still aren’t on good terms despite their new relationship. During an interview with Billboard, Shelton revealed what he went through after his breakup and how his music and girlfriend helped him deal with the pain. He claimed that If I’m Honest is his divorce album, but it also included some songs about finding new love.
“When we recorded the vocals for some of these songs, I was only six months removed from when all the crap went down,” he confessed. “When you have a broken heart — at least, when I do — you got to get it out of your system. You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell.”
Blake Shelton also revealed how his relationship with Gwen Stefani developed from friendship to romance. The mother of three had also gone through a painful divorce from Gavin Rossdale. The Bush frontman reportedly cheated on her with their former nanny, Mindy Mann. When she found out what happened to her Voice co-star, she reached out to him and the rest was history. The country superstar started falling for her, and she eventually helped him forget his ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
“Gwen saved my life,” he said. “Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can’t even imagine the similarities in our divorces.”
