Taylor Swift And Tom Hiddleston Only Dated Because He Lied About Calvin Harris?

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship may have started on a lie.

According to reports, Hiddleston may have conned his way into a romance with Taylor Swift by making up a false claim against her former boyfriend, Calvin Harris, whom she split from just weeks before her relationship with Hiddleston began.

Although People Magazine claimed there wasn’t any initial drama surrounding Taylor Swift’s breakup from Harris, it was later alleged that the couple split because Harris was intimidated by the singer’s success.

“[Harris] said on multiple occasions that he was intimidated by Taylor, which is why he would not attend any events where she was being honored, or any award shows unless he was nominated,” a friend of Taylor Swift explained in June.

A short time later, Taylor Swift’s breakup with Harris got messy. After Harris attempted to shoot down rumors of a feud on Twitter with a message which claimed he and Taylor Swift still respected one another, she went public with Hiddleston and the tweet was quickly removed.

Because Taylor Swift moved on from Harris so quickly after their 15-month relationship came to an end, many believed the singer had cheated, especially after it was revealed that Swift had spent time with Hiddleston at the Met Gala in early May. However, the latest report suggests Swift dumped Harris because he hit on another woman — even though he may not have actually done so.

Earlier this month, several weeks after Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s romance came to an end after just three months, a source claimed the couple’s romance only began due to a lie Hiddleston told Swift about Harris and his allegedly sketchy behavior.

“Tom Hiddleston fabricated a story about Harris flirting with another woman, so he could date [Taylor Swift],” explained a report by The Hollywood Gossip, via Hall of Fame Magazine on October 12. The 35-year old actor allegedly told the singer “that Harris had been hitting one of his friends behind her back.”

According to the report, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were already having issues, so when the singer heard about his alleged betrayal, it didn’t take long for her to call it quits with the DJ. Then, when her relationship with Hiddleston also came to an end, Taylor Swift reportedly began to have second thoughts on her split from Harris.

“Shortly after [Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston] broke up, the singer allegedly investigated Hiddleston’s allegations to Harris. She met the woman whom the Scottish singer reportedly flirted with. Nevertheless, the girl denied the accusations,” the outlet claimed.

Understandably, Taylor Swift was said to be extremely upset at Hiddleston for his reported lies and has since made amends with Harris. That said, despite rumors of an impending reunion between them, Swift and Harris are nothing more than distant friends at this point.

Another report about the Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston relationship claimed that while the couple may have been onto something with their whirlwind romance, the relationship never had a chance to bloom — and that may be due to it being doomed by Hiddleston’s reported lies.

“Relationships that are started on lies may or may not be doomed,” Australia Network News revealed to readers on October 13. “It depends on the people involved and the strength of their relationship once the truth comes out. In the case of Hiddleswift, it looks like everything came to an end before the relationship could really get a chance to blossom.”
