WWE Rumors: What We Know About ‘Hell In A Cell’ So Far

With Hell in a Cell promising to be the crazy, Raw brand-specific event that we know it to be, the WWE rumors are in overdrive. With just a few weeks to go before we see the event, let’s take a look at what we know about Hell in a Cell so far.

First, according to Forbes Magazine, the latest WWE rumors about Hell in a Cell suggest that the historic fight between Sasha Banks and Charlotte won’t be as momentous as they’re claiming it will be. Even though this will be the first time in history that a female wrestling match will take place during Hell in a Cell, it still doesn’t mean that the women wrestlers are on equal ground with the men.

Says Forbes:

“Working a great match at Hell in a Cell requires some pretty dangerous spots. Because we’ve never seen females in this type of match, there could be a notion to play things safe. That would be an insult to the progress the women have made over the last few years. Some spots in previous Hell in a Cell matches simply aren’t smart for anyone to attempt. Be safe, but let’s see the ladies put on a show.”

Meanwhile, the latest WWE rumors from Top Rope Press suggest that the match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte is actually the most interesting of all the matches taking place during Hell in a Cell, because the others are little more than rematches between the male wrestlers who are carrying over their feuds from Clash of Champions.

For example, there’s the Cruiserweight title between TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick — TJ Perkins, of course, is favored to win — which is a rematch from Clash of Champions. Then there’s Kevin Owens going up against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Title, and Roman Reigns facing Rusev (yet again) for the United States Title. These matches have led Top Rope Press to comment that the Hell in a Cell event has become a mere shadow of what it once was, not an event to get excited about anymore.

Says Top Rope Press:

“The Hell in a Cell gimmick, once a huge draw, has become somewhat watered down through the years. That started, ironically, with the creation of the Hell In A Cell pay per view in 2009, where they would run multiple HIAC matches. That said, the Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania 32 was considered the big draw of that show.”

Finally, the latest WWE rumors from Cult of Whatever give some more important details about Hell in a Cell, which will take place on October 30th at the TD Arena in Boston, Massachusetts — which is Sasha Banks’ hometown, thus making her favored to win. In addition to the previously mentioned fights between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns against Rusev, there will be a tag-team fight that will take place in the ring — namely, the fight between The New Day and Cesaro & Sheamus.

Of all of the cards scheduled for that night, there are a few favorites to win. For example, Kevin Owens is certainly favored to win against Seth Rollins for his WWE Universal Championship belt, but that’s only because, eventually, we will see Kevin Owens face off against Roman Reigns for that very same title. And since Roman Reigns is on a championship run, and his recent babyface turn has made him a favorite amongst fans — though there is still a faction of wrestling fans that don’t like Roman Reigns at all — it’s likely that Roman Reigns will eventually be wearing the WWE Universal Championship belt.
