Kaley Cuoco’s TV Wedding To Johnny Galecki On ‘Big Bang’ Brings Back Memories Of Their Real-Life Two Year Secret Relationship

Kaley Cuoco’s Big Bang Theory character officially got married to her real-life ex’s character, according to the Daily Mail. Although some may think it’s extremely awkward, both Cuoco and her real-life ex Johnny Galecki pull in $1 million per episode to play their roles.

Some TV actors would probably agree to marry their parents on-screen for $24 million per season. But nonetheless, some Big Bang Theory fans noted the irony in real-life exes Kaley Cuoco and Galecki getting married in the first episode of Season 10.

Kaley Cuoco and Galecki dated for nearly two years in the period between 2008 and 2009. And the two kept silent about their romance, as they didn’t know how the show’s fans might react to their off-screen romance.

Penny and Leonard’s wedding on The Big Bang Theory, played by Galecki and Kaley Cuoco respectively, was a certain event, so the duo must have had enough time to come to terms that they would eventually have to tie the knot in the top-rated CBS comedy.

In her interview with CBS Watch! magazine in 2010, a few months after breaking up with Galecki, Kaley Cuoco opened up about the impact their relationship had on her life. The 30-year-old actress admitted that their romance was “such a huge part” of her life, and the fact that no one knew about it added extra passion to it.

“It was a wonderful relationship, but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together.”

And since fans can get too snoopy sometimes, some Big Bang Theory fans were asking both Kaley Cuoco and Galecki about their relationship, but the two kept denying their romance at the time.

In his 2013’s interview with CBS Watch! magazine, Galecki revealed that he and Kaley Cuoco remained on friendly terms after the breakup.

“She’s not an ex; she’s a part of my life.”

Explaining why he and Kaley Cuoco decided to keep their romance in secret, Galecki said they didn’t want to “distract” from the CBS show’s storyline, as the revelation about their romantic relationship could “conflict with people’s acceptance of Leonard and Penny.”

More than three years after breaking up with Galecki, Kaley Cuoco found a new love, tennis player Ryan Sweeting. The two got married in 2013 but saw their romance gradually crumbling up to the point they filed for divorce in 2015. But the duo finalized their divorce only this summer.

Interestingly, just last month, Kaley Cuoco and Galecki were rumored to have rekindled their romance, even though the 30-year-old actress is happily dating equestrian Karl Cook.

Whatever the nature of Kaley Cuoco’s relationship with Galecki may be, the actress has always been loyal to her sister Briana, according to the International Business Times. The Big Bang Theory actress recently took to Instagram to share a sweet snap with her younger sister.

In the Instagram photo, Kaley Cuoco and her sister Briana are seen in matching all-denim ensembles. Cuoco wore denim shorts, while her sister, who is three years younger than the Big Bang Theory actress, opted for dark-colored jeans.

In the caption to the photo, which showed only the back view of Kaley Cuoco and her sister, the actress noted that they were “wearing too much denim.” The sisters share a very close relationship.

In her interview with Entertainment Tonight last year, Briana revealed that it was her sister Kaley Cuoco who encouraged her to pursue a career in the music industry. The younger sister also revealed the most helpful advice she got from her celebrity sister.

“Don’t be a jerk. Keep your feet on the ground. Work hard and don’t take yourself too seriously.”
