Manute Bol’s Son Towers Over 7th Grade Competition [Video]

Manute Bol’s son, Bol Bol, is starting to follow in his father’s giant footsteps. The 7th grader is already six-foot-five and, surprisingly, has a great jump shot.

Manute Bol was one of the tallest players (7’7?) to play in the NBA. Bol Bol hasn’t reached his father’s legendary height yet but he is still considered one of the top 7th grade players in the country.

According to iHigh.com, he is a top five prospect for the class of 2018.

iHigh writes:

“Bol Bol appears to be out of the same mold as his late father (Manute Bol) in that he’s a long, lanky, athletic shot blocker with amazing agility and coordination for somebody so big and so young … In other words, we’re talking about a guy with super star written all over.”

Manute Bol played for 12 seasons in the NBA. He is the league’s tallest player (tied with Gheorge Muresan) and had 2,086 blocks during his career. During his rookie season, Bol averaged nearly 5 blocks per game. Bol passed away in 2010 at the age of 47.

Here’s a scouting video of Manute Bol’s son, Bol Bol.

And in case you don’t remember Manute, here’s a picture of the legendary NBA player with his former teammate Muggsy Bogues.

Do you think Bol Bol will be a superstar like his father?
