‘American Horror Story’ Episode 6: ‘My Roanoke Nightmare’ Producer Visits The Farmhouse [Spoilers]
American Horror Story decided to flip the script for the second half of Season 6, TV Line reports. Showrunner Ryan Murphy said the season would take a huge turn in Episode 6 that would leave you shocked and speechless.
Wednesday’s episodes ended with Shelby (Sarah Paulson), Matt (Cuba Gooding, Jr.), Lee (Angela Bassett), and Flora barely escaping the Butcher’s (Kathy Bates) clutches and taking temporary residence at a nearby cheap motel. They finally escaped the Butcher and are safe from the killing and mayhem that has consumed their life for the past few months.

American Horror Story Episode 5 revealed that Shelby and Matt got lucky that Ambrose (Wes Bentley) had enough of his mother’s killing. After a few centuries, murdering innocent people may get old, huh?
The big clue that Matt, Shelby, Lee, and Flora survived the ordeal was because they were on the television show My Roanoke Nightmare. It looks like the season is about to do a major shift and Matt and Shelby may not be a part of the storyline anymore.
The American Horror Story teaser for Episode 6 showed Cheyenne Jackson — who plays My Roanoke Nightmare producer — heading to the Roanoke house to get live footage for the show. Apparently, after Shelby and Matt survived the ordeal, he decided the documentary needed live footage of the house. It’s clear if he plans to spend the night at the manor, but if he does, we can assume that the consequences could be deadly.

“You rolling?” Cheyenne asks his camera man. “The camera never stops, no matter what anyone says. Even if I tell you to stop, you keep going. Got it?”
The American Horror Story teaser seems to imply that after hearing about the horrifying experience Matt and Shelby had in the house, he wanted to visit the haunted mansion to see if what they said about it was true.
It’s entirely possible that he may believe that they played their story up for the television show, and wants to see the manor for himself. If he goes to the house, he should be prepared to feel some pushback because the spirits that live in the area proved they do not like outsiders.

Evan Peters debuted as Edward Motts, the man who built the manor and a relative of Dandy Mott (Freak Show). He built the home to have a place to store his valuables and a place for secret rendezvous with his gay lover. He was murdered by the Butcher not long after the contractors completed his home. It isn’t apparent how big of a role Peters will play this season, but he seems to be a “friendly ghost” who wants to help others escape the Butcher’s horrific punishments.
Entertainment Weekly (EW) reported that the season would take a huge turn in Episode 6 on American Horror Story.
Ryan Murphy said, ” You’ll see, starting in Episode 6, the show takes a huge turn. The thing you think you are watching is not what you’re are watching at all.”
AHS fans have speculated for weeks about what the big twist was and came up empty-handed. So far, the direction of AHS Season 6 has many of the viewers stumped and they aren’t sure what to expect next.
American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk teased, ” No matter what you think it is, it’s not that. Episode 5 ends, and you’re like, ‘What happened?’ Then episode 6 comes, and you’re like, ‘Wait, what happened?'” AHS fans, do you believe that we’ll see Shelby and Matt again this season? What do you think will be the big twist that Ryan Murphy has teased the fans about for months?
