Taylor Swift Wants To Help Her BFF Selena Gomez Through Her Lupus Battle

Taylor Swift has Selena Gomez’s back.

As the 24-year-old singer continues treating Lupus in a Tennessee rehab, a source claims Swift has stepped up and offered to allow Gomez to stay with her at her home and use her private plane.

“[Taylor Swift] offered to let Selena stay with her and use her private plane during her hiatus,” a source told Us Weekly, according to a report by Hollywood Life on October 12.

Taylor Swift’s longtime friend entered a rehab facility to address struggles with her mental health after announcing her tour would be canceled midway through its run in late August. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has been facing relationship issues after splitting from Calvin Harris in May and Tom Hiddleston in September.

Although Taylor Swift certainly has her own drama to handle, she isn’t letting that get in the way of her friendship with Gomez and after Gomez announced the sudden end of her tour, Taylor Swift was said to be in full support of her decision.

“[Taylor Swift] couldn’t be more supportive of Selena’s decision to postpone her tour. She is so proud of her for making her health her number one priority,” a source told Hollywood Life on August 31, one day after Gomez’s career hiatus was confirmed.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s friendship has been highly documented in recent years and when Swift released her music video for “Bad Blood,” Gomez was included in the clip. Also featured in the video were Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, Zendaya Coleman, Hayley Williams, Cara Delevingne, Hailee Steinfeld, and Lena Dunham.

Throughout the past few months, Taylor Swift has reportedly been working on her new album, but all the while, she and Gomez have kept in touch.

“The two have been in constant communication with each other” during Selena’s tough time, Hollywood Life revealed to readers on August 31. “[Taylor Swift] has made it clear to Selena that she has her back and can come spend time with her whenever she wants.”

“[Taylor Swift] wants to try and see Selena as soon as she can to give her a big hug,” the source added.

Taylor Swift’s new album is expected to include details about her recently ended relationships with Harris and Hiddleston, as well as details about her ongoing celebrity feuds, which are believed to include disputes with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry. As fans may recall, Taylor Swift’s highly-publicized feud with West imploded earlier this year when Kardashian proved she was lying by releasing a clip of the singer speaking to her husband about his song “Famous.” While Swift had previously claimed she was not involved in the track, the clip shared by Kardashian proved otherwise.

As Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez remain in touch, Swift is reportedly planning to treat Gomez to a girls’ weekend as soon is she is done with her treatment.

“As soon as Selena’s feeling better, [Taylor Swift] has promised a girls’ weekend,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on September 8. “She can hang out with their girls quad and they can pamper themselves at a health spa.”

For now, while Gomez treats her illness in rehab, Taylor Swift appears to be staying in New York City where she is enjoying her new life as a single woman by spending tons of time with her close girl friends, including Hadid and Delevingne.
