Nelly Furtado Scores Latin Billboard #1

Miami, FL (CNS) – Nelly Furtado, who usually scores hits with English-language, Timbaland-produced numbers like “Promiscuous” and “Say It Right,” has the #1 Latin song in the country. She earned the #1 spot on the Latin Billboard Top 10 chart.
“Manos Al Aire,” the first single from Furtado’s upcoming Spanish-language album, “Mi Plan,” moved up from the #2 spot last week to the top, beating out last week’s #1, Shakira’s “Loba.” Furtado’s album “Mi Plan” will hit stores September 15th.
Shakira’s “Loba” moves down to #2 this week. Staying put at #3 this week is Espinoza Paz with “Lo Intentamos,” while Tito “El Bambino” continues at #4 with “El Amor.” Joan Sebastian moves up to #5 from #7 last week.
Paulina Rubio drops down one spot with her latest single, “Causa Y Efecto,” while La Arrolladora Banda El Limon also drops one to #7 with “Ya Es Muy Tarde.” The biggest mover on the chart this week are Los Tigres Del Norte, whose latest single “La Granja” moves all the way up to #8 from #18 last week.
Entering the top 10 this week are La Quinta Estacion with “Recuerdame,” off their latest album “Sin Frenos,”at #9. German Montero closes out the top 10 with “Comprendeme.”
