Houston Texans Vs. Indianapolis Colts: Bold Predictions For NFL Week 6

The Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts are set to play in NFL Week 6 action to renew one of the AFC South’s rivalries. Both teams are hoping to make playoff runs this season, but as of right now, it appears that the Texans are the better football team.

Last season, Houston took advantage of the Colts’ collapse to win the AFC South division title and get into the playoffs. Indianapolis was expected to bounce back this season, but that hasn’t happened just yet. We are still early in the season, but the Texans have gotten off to the start that they needed.

Needless to say, this Week 6 matchup has major playoff implications on the line for both teams and could help decide the AFC South division winner when everything is said and done.

It will be interesting to see how these two teams match up against one another. Andrew Luck seems to be back to full form, while Brock Osweiler has been struggling over the past few weeks. Indianapolis does have a weak defense, however, which is an area that Houston doesn’t struggle.

All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Colts vs. Texans game this week?

Lamar Miller Will Break Out with a Huge Game

Houston has been waiting for Lamar Miller to show why they went after him aggressively in free agency last offseason. He has yet to score a touchdown for the Texans, but will break out this week. Miller will record at least 140 total yards and will score two touchdowns against the Colts’ porous defense.

Andrew Luck Will Rack Up 300 Yards, Four Touchdowns

Indianapolis has been putting the football in Andrew Luck’s hands and asking him to power them to wins this season. He has put up big numbers while doing so, but still doesn’t have great protection from his offensive line. Luck will dominate the Houston defense this week, however, and will rack up at least 300 yards and four touchdowns.

Houston’s Defense Will Sack Luck at Least Five Times

Even without J.J. Watt, who is down with an injury, the Texans are going to have success putting pressure on Andrew Luck. Indianapolis has a weak offensive line and Houston will sack him at least five times. It is embarrassing that the Colts still don’t have protection for their star quarterback and he will take a beating this week.

Indianapolis Will Intercept Brock Osweiler Twice

It has been obvious this season that the Colts have issues in their secondary, especially with the injuries that they have dealt with. Even with that being the case, Indianapolis will intercept Brock Osweiler at least twice this week. Osweiler has looked extremely inconsistent this season and will look that way once again in Week 6.

The Indianapolis Colts Will Pull Out a Huge Victory

While both teams will leave everything they have on the field this week, the Colts will come out with a huge win. They cannot afford to lose this game and drop to 2-4. Chuck Pagano’s team will end up pulling out a close and hard-fought win against their division rivals.

Expect to see this game come down to the final seconds, as most Colts games have this season. Houston is going to put up a tough fight, but the Colts will make the necessary plays in the fourth quarter to seal a win. This game could be exactly what the Colts need to get back in the playoff picture.
