Meghan King Edmonds On Drinking During Pregnancy: Did She Have Beer In Ireland?

Meghan King Edmonds invited all of the ladies to Ireland because she wanted to learn more about her heritage after learning that she was pregnant. Around the time she traveled to Ireland, she was 12 weeks pregnant and was getting close to announcing the pregnancy. But despite being pregnant, Meghan didn’t shy away from going to the pub with the other ladies, as they had planned a pub crawl on Monday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. But was King Edmonds caught drinking?

According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds is now breaking her silence about the accusations she’s faced over the past couple of days, as people strongly believed that they saw her drink beer during their trip to Ireland. And sadly, this isn’t the first time that she’s been accused of drinking alcohol during her pregnancy.

“For starters, I feel I need to comment yet again on all of the comments about me ‘drinking while pregnant.’ It’s really upsetting to me that people would actually think I’d put my baby girl in danger by drinking alcohol. It was actually really fun for me to try to get everyone else drunk and I purposely excluded myself from certain activities in Ireland, knowing that the only thing the girls would be doing is drinking,” Meghan King Edmonds explains on her Bravo blog after getting many tweets about her so-called drinking on the show Monday night.

This isn’t the first time that King Edmonds has been accused of drinking during this pregnancy. A few episodes ago, when Meghan was sharing her pregnancy news, she had ginger ale from a champagne glass. People quickly assumed that she was consuming alcohol during her pregnancy. And after King Edmonds lost one of the babies, people were quick to judge her, blaming her bad behavior and her drinking for the loss even though she’s repeatedly said that she was drinking soda.

“Doctors will tell you that it is perfectly fine to have a glass of wine while pregnant, but I thought it was extremely nice of the Irish pub to offer me non-alcoholic beer to join in the fun. It was disgusting, by the way,” Meghan King Edmonds points out on her blog, sharing that she has yet to touch a single drop of alcohol during her pregnancy.

Meghan had no problem leaving the ladies at the pub to drink, as she had made plans to meet up with a historian in the area who could give her information about her family. This was why Meghan wanted to go to Ireland in the first place, so she quickly abandoned the girls for a day, where she could learn about her history. And based on her blog, Meghan King Edmonds is excited to be able to bring her daughter back to Ireland one day so they can explore their heritage together.

“First Ireland episode done, two to go! Of course, being pregnant on the trip kept me from joining in the pub-crawl and partying with the rest of the ladies, but watching everything back, I’m glad I wasn’t included! I can’t wait to one day go back to Ireland with my baby girl and the rest of my family to experience the culture and our heritage together,” Meghan King Edmonds starts her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, sharing that there’s plenty of drama to come, and she’s thrilled that she’s pregnant and missed most of it.
