Dr. Conrad Murray, the man jailed for the death of Michael Jackson, still isn’t doing very well in the big house. Murray claims, among other things, that he can’t put his feet up in his cell, that he may never wear boots again, and that he is developing blood clots that will surely kill him.

Since being convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, Dr. Murray has made prison sound more like a gulag, what with how he is allegedly being treated and his “deteriorating” health condition. TMZ obtained a recording of a phone conversation between Murray and a friend in which the former doctor says that the cramped conditions in his cell are causing him to develop life-threatening health issues:

“It progressed until the leg felt numb … it was painful all to the top of my foot … around the medial aspect of my ankle and all the way to the mid-calf,” Murray said of the deadly blood clot in his leg that he thinks he suffers from. “Blood clots are relatively risky … especially if they propagate from the legs into the lungs to cause pulmonary embolism which can result in permanent disability or even death.”

Prison doctors, of course, determined that Murray is fine and that there are no blood clots, notes MSN. Still, prison is causing Murray to suffer in other ways:

“I have had to lay in bed for most of the day because there is no way to elevate my feet. One of the recommendations by the doctor is to keep my legs elevated and to increase my activity which is impossible in a 5×7 cell,” also complaining, “I may never be able to wear a boot again.”

Murray concluded with a threat: “I don’t want to be permanently hurt by any condition in here … because if I am, I will not let it rest.”

We don’t know if Murray just thinks that if he complains enough they will let him go, but that’s just not how prison works. Still, the hypochondriac former-doc did come down with one terrifying health issue this year: diarrhea.
