Taylor Swift: Tom Hiddleston Was The Reason Why She Dumped Calvin Harris

Taylor Swift moved on rather quickly from Calvin Harris. The once beloved couple hailed Tayvin ended their 15-month relationship on June 2. Both stars took to Twitter to make the announcement and seemed to be on good terms with each other until Taylor was seen kissing Tom Hiddleston just a few weeks later.

Now it’s being revealed that Hiddleston, 35, was the reason behind Swift and Harris’ split, as reported via the Hollywood Gossip. In case you forgot, Hiddleston and Swift, 26, first met at the Met Gala back in May where they had an epic dance-off. Although it’s been a month since the two have broken up, rumors are circulating that Swift hooked up with the Night Manager star because he influenced her decision to break up with the Scottish DJ and music producer.

An alleged inside source told In Touch Weekly that Hiddleston warned Swift about Harris and made his moves on the singer-songwriter.

“Tom told her that Calvin hit on one of his friends. She and Calvin were already having problems, so this weighed on her. Taylor started to feel like he was using her.”

Shortly after Swift and Harris went their separate ways, Swift decided to investigate Harris’ cheating allegations by meeting with the woman whom Harris allegedly flirted with behind her back.

“Taylor met with the girl Tom said Calvin was hitting on, and she denied it ever happened. Now she and Calvin are talking again.”

Friends close to Swift say she was angry when she discovered Hiddleston lied to her, and now she and Harris see the British actor as a common enemy. Swift and Harris now friends again, and have been reportedly texting each other. According to TMZ’s sources, Swift and Harris have since moved on from their messy public split. They have been low-key sending text messages back and forth in recent days. However, the two have not spoken on the phone or seen each other face-to-face.

Since the two are talking to each other, sources hint that they may rebuild their friendship by working on a song together. A source told Hollywood Life, as reported via In Touch Weekly, that Swift and Harris may follow-up on their last collaborative hit, “This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna. It doesn’t look like the two musicians will have a romantic reunion anytime soon, though, adds the source.

“They definitely are taking things very very slow to get back to some sort of a friendship. They have no plans to meet up, no plans to get back together romantically.”

So, what’s the point of the exes talking to each other if they don’t want to give their relationship another go? They want to focus on the music, adds the source.

“They just want to be civil with each other so they could eventually get to a place where they could work together again and not feel weird for when they are in the same room and meet up.”

Speaking of music, Swift’s fans have been wondering if she’ll drop a surprise album this year. She usually drops a new album every two years in either October or November, plus her 10-year career anniversary is quickly approaching. After The Washington Post speculated three possible release dates for Swift’s new album, a new report via Mashable claims it’s not true since she would have more appearances, interviews, and concerts lined up than she does.

Last December, Swift announced she was going to take a longer than usual break from making and releasing music.

“I think I should take some time off. People might need a break from me,” reports Glamour Magazine.

Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt did confirm at New York Fashion Week that Swift is currently working on her next album. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she’s done with it yet, as she has plenty of material to work from this time around — from her relationships with Hiddleston and Harris, along with her ongoing feuds with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Katy Perry.
