Xbox One S Game Bundles: Microsoft Releases 2 New Packages, First Look At Gears Of War 4

There has been a great deal of frenzy surrounding the Xbox One S launch, and its very well-deserved. With the holiday season approaching, Microsoft seems to be looking to renew said hype by releasing two new Xbox One S game bundles. As Pocket-lint.com noted, the One S first fell from gamer heaven in August, 2016, and since then has been the highlight of Microsoft’s flagship console series.

A Bundle By Any Other Name

TechTimes.com caught sight of a new Xbox One bundle that comes with Gears Of War 4, and also includes a wireless controller and digital download of the game. Microsoft previously released a Gears of War bundle, but this new upgrade gives the Xbox an unprecedented 1 TB of storage. It also offers a One S in white, as opposed to its predecessor, which came in blue.

The new game bundle can be pre-ordered from the Microsoft Store for $449.00, and also includes a special edition “Crimson Omen” controller. Additionally, purchasing this game pack gives access to the entire Gears of War collection as part of a limited-time offer.

Storm Warning

Soccer fans, brace yourselves. If you’re in the market for a new FIFA title, Daily Star has you covered. The site unearthed a new One S bundle that comes in storm gray and has a free copy of FIFA 17 to boot. You can buy the FIFA bundle from online retailers including the Microsoft Store, Ebay, and Dell for about $299.99 at each. So far, Gamestop does not appear to have the new One S bundles available.

The FIFA bundle comes with additional perks as well, including a Rare Player Pack and 3 Ultimate Team Loaned Legends. Some of these legends include Barcelona’s Marc Overmars, and Emmanuel Petit (Barcelona, Arsenal, Monaco, and Chelsea), as EA Sports reported.

Inside Look

Gears of War 4 hits store shelves on October 11, 2016, but pre-orders are available now. The first-person shooter takes places 25 years after Gears 3. The storyline follows Marcus Fenix’s son, JD, who, along with friends Kait and Del, find a “monstrous new enemy,” as the official site will tell you. The game comes in two flavors: a Standard and an Ultimate edition.

Standard Edition will include the base game, while Ultimate Edition has a ton of perks like exclusive digital items and an early release four days ahead of schedule. You can check out the official trailer below.

But Wait, There’s More!

All pre-orders will also come with the Brothers To The End gear pack. This handy add-on unlocks three new characters.

  • “Tomorrow Anya”-Anya’s character appears in-game the same way she does in the Gears of War4 commercial “Tomorrow.” Her nickname hints at a famous quote by her at the end of the Locust War, where she says “we finally have a tomorrow.”
  • “Old Man Marcus”-An older, futuristic version of Marcus Fenix, this character was announced at the E3 2016 media briefing kit. He lives 25 years after the Locust War.
  • Finally, there’s “Zombie Dom.” This exclusive character was created as a tribute to Dominic Santiago, Fenix’s late best friend.

Additionally, the gear pack includes golden versions of the Wave Lancer and Gnasher weapons. This has been done in the past as a reward for players who pre-order the games. Finally, pre-orderers will get a Vintage Del pack, which contains bonus items and the character Vintage Del.

No matter which edition strikes your fancy, you’ll get the Brothers To The End pack. It comes with both the Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Xbox One S and the Gears of War 4 Lootcrate.
