Mock Kidnapping Leads To Real Arrests

Two men were arrested in Zurich over the weekend after their mock kidnapping was thought to be a real kidnap attempt.

The two men were attempting to re-enact scenes from their favorite detective films. The men were carrying replica air guns which looked real to bystanders.

Police were alerted to the strange activities of the arrested men when passers-by called local authorities to report a man being “pulled into a car” while struggling to escape from his captors.

Following a large scale search, the police officers found the men and discovered two Airsoft guns the men were concealing.

Despite realizing that the guns were fake, police still arrested the 20-year old Swiss man and his 22-year old Spaniard friend. Eventually it was determined that the two men were just having a bit of fun.

That fun will likely end up costing the two men; police have still charged them with illegally carrying weapons.

The men have not yet responded to their charges.
