‘Days Of Our Lives’: Andre Shoots Chad, Helps Clyde Get Baby Thomas – Or Is It Part Of The Plan? [Spoilers]

The terror continues on Days Of Our Lives as Clyde, Orpheus, and Xander go on with their plans of revenge. However, something is different this week and spoilers reveal it involves Andre DiMera.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Clyde Weston’s return to Salem includes the escaped convict trying to kidnap baby Thomas. He confirmed this to Kate Roberts, who recently revealed it to others.

Last week on Days Of Our Lives, Clyde decided he had enough waiting around. He left Xander while Orpheus was away. After an encounter with Theo Carver and JJ Devereaux, which included gunfire, Joey was released and Clyde took off. However, this is not the last viewers will see of him, according to the latest spoilers.

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Andre DiMera will have an encounter with Clyde Weston on Days Of Our Lives. However, spoilers hint that it is not accidental. It is part of a plan orchestrated by Andre, Chad, and Kate. It comes about because Chad doesn’t like the wild idea that Steve and Kayla came up with that involved using Kate as bait.

Andre makes sure he runs into Clyde and the two talk. Andre talks about how smug Chad is and of course, Clyde agrees. Andre then convinces him to come to the DiMera mansion and he can have baby Thomas. Days Of Our Lives spoilers tease that when they arrive, Andre shoots Chad and tells Clyde to go get the crying baby. Lucas is horrified and can’t believe what Andre has done. Actor Thaao Penghlis teased that not everything is as it seems, though.

“Does it look like there are tragic events? Quite possibly. Andre has been around and knows how to play certain games and outwit people and that’s what he does – outwit Clyde at his own game.”

It sounds like Chad doesn’t really get hurt. Is it possible that he is wearing a bulletproof vest and the blood is fake? That it is all part of the plan on Days Of Our Lives? Or is this some bizarre twist that Andre comes up with on his own?

For those that believe Andre wants Chad dead, Penghlis stated that’s not quite true. On Days Of Our Lives, Stefano DiMera’s death hit Andre hard. Thaao told the magazine that Andre realizes that the only family he has left is Chad and wants to earn his way back. This is a different motivation than what viewers are used to from Andre DiMera. Penghlis explained Andre’s thought process.

“He wants to get into the family business and he’s looking for them to work together as brothers. That’s all they’ve got, each other. There’s been an awakening for Andre. Loss does that. Their father’s death was a tremendous loss. The only thing in his immediate presence is his brother, and for him to survive, as well. Andre doesn’t have money but he wants to earn his keep. It’s his way of coming back into the family and showing love and trust.”

However, does that mean that Andre can be trusted? Of course not. Especially since in a previous issue of Soap Opera Digest it was teased that Andre will go from bad to diabolical. Who will be his next target and will Andre be doing it to hurt Chad or protect him?
