‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 Premiere, Spoilers: Big Stydia Moment Happening In Episode 1 [Watch Promo]
Teen Wolf Season 6 is set to premiere on Tuesday, November 15, on MTV. Prior to the highly anticipated final season premiere, the first 10 minutes of Episode 1 made its debut during the show’s panel at the New York Comic-Con.
In the Teen Wolf Season 6 promo, Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden) and the rest of the Beacon Hills gang seemed to have forgotten Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) after he was abducted by memory-erasing villains, Ghost Riders. Given that the True Alpha and even his father Sheriff Stilinski have no recollection of Stiles at all, this spells big trouble for Stiles. Scott, however, vowed to do everything he can to make sure that Stiles is both remembered and safe.
“I’m coming for my friends. I’m coming for everyone,” he said.
It seems like Season 6 is going to be a big one for Stydia shippers. In the promo, we got to see Stiles telling Lydia, “remember I love you.”
Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis shared a page of the script of the Season 6 premiere to Entertainment Weekly, which revealed one of Stiles’ last moments before he was abducted by the Ghost Riders. In the script, it was revealed that Lydia is going to be the one to hold onto Stiles’ memory the longest, when everyone, including Scott and his own father, started to forget him. Davis explained that it is because of their special bond through the years.
“They have something special. We decided that this is the place to show that they’ve gone from a simple crush to friends to something deeper,” he explained.
In the script, Stiles tried to tell Lydia to stay away, fearing that the Ghost Riders will come after her.
“They’re coming for me. You need to get away from me,” he told her.
“I’m not leaving you.”

In March, Davis told Hollywood Life that there is going to be a big Stydia moment in the Teen WolfSeason 6 premiere, adding that he is a big Stydia fan himself. After Stiles and Lydia shared a sweet moment in the Season 5 finale, fans of the MTV series cannot help but wonder if there is something more between them.
“I’ll say something very big happens between Stiles and Lydia in the first episode of season 6, and viewers will have to tune in to find out whether it’s good or bad or both.”
With Teen Wolf‘s last season, Davis felt the need to step up their game. He shared that fans have seen all kinds of supernatural villains terrorizing Beacon Hills. By introducing a mysterious group called the Ghost Riders, the showrunner explained that this could tap into a different type of human fear altogether. Ghost Riders do not simply take their victims, they also have the ability to erase their whole existence.
“We’ve had seasons where there’s just bodies dropping everywhere, and we wanted to do something frightening but different. What’s scarier than death? Being forgotten. Being completely erased,” he said.
Fans of Dylan O’Brien, however, should not worry about seeing less of Stiles in Season 6. Even though the introduction of the Ghost Riders helped the writers work around O’Brien’s The Maze Runner: The Death Cure filming schedule, he explained that it will not take long before the Beacon Hills gang figure out what they have been missing. As early as episode 2, Scott, Lydia, and Malia (Shelley Hennig) could end up finding a way to get Stiles back.
“Almost immediately people will notice something missing, because Stiles is such an indelible part of Beacon Hills. They each realize that something huge is missing in their life and they come to this eventual conclusion it might be a person,” Davis explained.
