TWD Season 7 Sneak Peek: What Does The Blood Splatter On Rick’s Face Mean? Perhaps We Know Who Took The Lucille Death In ‘The Walking Dead’ [Spoilers]

WARNING: This article contains potential spoilers for Season 7 of The Walking Dead.

If you do not wish to know who dies at the end of Season 6 of TWD, do not proceed.

All of The Walking Dead fans are dying to know who took the Lucille death at the end of Season 6 of TWD. After watching the Season 7 Sneak Peek on AMC, some are wondering if the blood splatter on Rick’s face means we may know will not be returning to future episodes of The Walking Dead.

There have been many different speculations made about who took the Lucille death, but as many times as people thought they had it all figured out, the Season 7 Sneek Peek may have finally truly revealed who died at the end of Season 6.

Some were absolutely sure that Darryl Dixon received the Lucille death because of his most recent commitments with his premiere show, Ride With Norman Reedus, which would have potentially interfered with the TWD Season 7 shoot.

Others were determined that Glenn was the receiver of Lucille, as that would go along with the comic book death.

But after watching the Season 7 Sneak Peek, perhaps they may have finally given the largest clue as to who died at the end of season 6. What starts as Negan slouched down in front of Rick, flashing the bloody Lucille in his face, shows a possible very important spoiler: the streak of blood on the right side of Rick’s face.

No, the streak of blood was not their previously when they were all lined up on the ground as Negan played “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe to determine who was going to die at the hands of Lucille.

In the sneak peek, Rick promises Negan that he’s going to kill him.

“Not today, not tomorrow, but I’m gonna kill you.”

While Negan asks “his right hand man” for Rick’s weapon, his ax, Negan grabs it and sticks it in his belt. When everyone took a sigh of relief, Negan grabbed Rick and dragged him into the camper.

While people aren’t necessarily worried about his death, they are worried that Rick is going to lose a hand, similar to what happened in the comics, Mashable reveals. The comics, however, revealed the Governor cutting off his hand rather than Negan.

Now, let’s return to the root of the story here. When you see the splash of blood on the right side of Rick’s face, this could potentially mean that Lucille’s victim sat on the right side of Rick. Let’s take a look at the lineup from left to right.

First is Glenn, followed by Tara, then Darryl, and Michonne. As we get closer to Rick, we have Abraham, then Maggie, Rick, and Sasha to start the line of safe characters. Beside Sasha sat Aaron, followed by Carl and Eugene.

It is safe to assume that Sasha, Aaron, Carl and Eugene are safe based on this new evidence. However, for the people to the right of Rick, their fate could possibly be met. If we had to take a wild guess, we all know that Maggie appeared in an earlier Season 7 Sneak Peek, so she is safe, but it doesn’t look good for Abraham, who is the next closest person to the right side of Rick.

Although this could be one of TWD’s twists and turns to throw people off what is really going to happen, it certainly seems like a likely scenario. Unfortunately for The Walking Dead fans, it has been revealed that the Lucille killing is not even the worst part of the first episode of Season 7. Perhaps more than one character will see an end to their days on The Walking Dead?

Take a look at Season 7 Sneak Peek and let us know your thoughts. Stay tuned for the TWD to return on October 23 at 9/8c.
