Laura Prepon Is Officially Off The Market After Getting Engaged To Ben Foster

Actress Laura Prepon enjoyed a career revival of sorts after snagging the plum role of Alex Vause in Orange is the New Black. Now, her personal life is at an all-time high as well after saying yes to the engagement proposal of beau Ben Foster.

Multiple reports have confirmed the engagement reports surrounding Prepon, who gained fame on the now defunct TV series That ’70s Show, and Foster, who starred in the movie Lone Survivor.

Prior to dating Foster, the 36-year-old actress used to hang out with Tom Cruise and allegedly Topher Grace, her co-star in the TV series. But she did date Christopher Masterson, who was the brother of Danny Masterson, who played the slacker Steven Hyde in the show.

The 35-year-old actor, meanwhile, had a high-profile relationship with Robin Wright. The two were engaged to be married twice but called off the engagement.

According to Newsday, this would be the first marriage for both Prepon and Foster. The website also reached out to the pair to confirm the reported engagement, but their reps had yet to respond at the time the article was published.

They were first rumored to be dating back in July, said NBC Philly. But they never addressed the rumors, as the lovebirds seemed bent on protecting their privacy. This is nothing new, however, since they have not been very vocal about their previous relationships, either.

Prepon and Foster were reportedly spotted in Camp May in New Jersey celebrating the Fourth of July holiday.

They were later seen that month in Lucien in NYC’s East Village where they engaged in a lot of make-out sessions, according to eyewitnesses.

On Tuesday this week, however, the two went public with their romance during the premiere of The Girl on the Train. The actress wore a dress from designer Nha Khanh with heels from LK Bennett.

The engagement of Prepon is welcome news indeed, considering that the actress complained during an interview with Cosmopolitan two years ago that she could not find the time to date.

“When I’m working, it’s next to impossible,” she said. “I like to think I’ll just be walking down the street one day and stop and meet someone, like, ‘Oh my god, you’re awesome,’ and then we start dating. But, no. I do not know what’s happening.”

“When I’m working, living in a new place, it’s kind of cool I don’t have to deal with that right now. That being said, it’d be cool to meet a cool New Yorker. But that hasn’t happened yet,” she added.

Vogue reported that Prepon is not the only Orange is the New Black cast member who is getting hitched. Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey Washington, also got engaged to partner, writer Lauren Morelli.

They just had very different ways of announcing their respective personal milestones. Whereas, Prepon displayed her huge diamond ring during the premiere of The Girl on the Train with fiancé Ben Foster by his side — Wiley made the announcement on her social media account.

In the photo, the openly gay actress couldn’t seem to hold in her laughter as she showed off her left hand with the engagement ring and the snuggling Morelli by her side. The caption simply said, “yes.”

Morelli and Wiley met on the set of Orange is the New Black while the writer was still married to husband, Steve Basilone. She later filed for divorce. The two dated for two years before this recent announcement.
