Is Selena Gomez In Mexico After Canceling Her ‘Revival World Tour’ Due To Lupus Symptoms And Justin Bieber Drama?

Has Selena Gomez traveled to Mexico after canceling her “Revival World Tour”?

Although there has been no sightings of Selena Gomez at all since she announced that she was facing depression, anxiety and panic attacks due to a Lupus diagnosis years ago, a new report suggests that she may be hiding out in Mexico with her assistant and best friend.

“[Selena Gomez’s] assistant Theresa Marie Mingus and BFF were both spotted on the beaches of Cabo soaking up the sun on Oct. 7,” Hollywood Life revealed to readers on October 7.

Selena Gomez has not been seen or heard from since the end of August and while there have been reports of the 24-year-old singer being in rehab, those reports remain unconfirmed.

Following a show in Auckland, New Zealand, in mid-August, which has since become her final “Revival World Tour” show, Selena Gomez was involved in a mega-feud with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, on Instagram.

After striking up a romance with Sofia Richie in early August, Bieber confirmed his adoration of the model by sharing a couple of photos of her on his page. Unfortunately, his fans weren’t thrilled with the photos and quickly took aim at Richie. In response, Bieber threatened to make his Instagram private and told his followers that they weren’t truly fans if they were going to be mean to Richie.

At that point, Selena Gomez weighed in on the situation, informing Bieber that he should not be flaunting his romance on social media. Instead, she said he should keep his relationship private and realize that his fans love him. This didn’t go over well.

Once Bieber saw the comment, he immediately took aim at Selena Gomez and suggested she was using him to get attention for herself. In response, Selena Gomez shockingly reminded Bieber that he cheated on her “multiple” times during their years-long romance.

While Bieber had previously threatened to make his account private, Selena Gomez’s comment seemingly pushed him over the edge, and after reportedly suggesting that she too had cheated, he deleted his account.

Following the dispute, Selena Gomez backtracked on her comments and issued a statement to fans on SnapChat, which read, “What I said was selfish and pointless.”

Two weeks after Selena Gomez’s Instagram feud with Bieber, she announced the end of her “Revival World Tour” with a statement to People Magazine.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez explained. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

A short time later, a Life & Style magazine source claimed Selena Gomez blamed Bieber for her breakdown.

“It was really hard for her,” the source explained of the moment Gomez saw Bieber moving on. “[Selena Gomez] saw Justin looking so happy and that really sent her into a downward spiral.”
