Heidi Klum Teases Her 2016 Halloween Costume: Is She Going To Be Kim Kardashian This Year?
Heidi Klum just had her first fitting for her 2016 Halloween costume, and some of her fans already think they know who she’s dressing up as this year.
Hollywood’s Queen of Halloween recently teased her Instagram followers with a picture of what could be a part of her 2016 Halloween costume. In the photo, Heidi Klum is wearing gray thigh-high boots and what appears to be a short dress that’s hiked up at the sides.
“First fitting for Halloween….. Hmmmmmm…????….. what am I going to be this year? Can you guess!?!?!?!?!?!” she captioned the picture.

Heidi’s Instagram followers are having a difficult time agreeing on what her Halloween costume is going to be. Many fans think that the Project Runway host is trying to channel her inner Beyonce in the teaser photo, but others believe that she looks more like a fictional character. Some popular guesses include Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, the robot from the silent movie Metropolis, a Star Wars character, or Barbarella. Heidi’s dress does have a somewhat futuristic feel, so maybe her fans aren’t far off with their speculation that she’s going to dress up like Barbarella, Jane Fonda’s sexed-up star traveler who brought the swinging sixties to space.

However, the most popular Halloween costume guess on Heidi Klum’s Instagram page is reality show star Kim Kardashian. This is likely because Klum’s thigh-high suede boots look like the type of high-fashion footwear that could be found in Kardashian’s closet. But is the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star really the most likely answer to Klum’s costume quiz?
As The Inquisitr previously reported, many of Heidi Klum’s fans also thought that she was going to dress up like Kim Kardashian last year. This is because Heidi’s 2015 social media teasers included a photo that showed her being fitted with a massive prosthetic butt and large prosthetic breasts. However, as Us Weekly reports, Heidi was actually transforming herself into a very voluptuous cartoon character: patty-cake-loving lounge singer Jessica Rabbit.

Perhaps Heidi Klum’s Instagram question contains two small clues about her 2016 Halloween costume. You’ll notice that she asks her fans to guess “what” she is going to be this year, not “who” she is going to be this year. This could be a hint that she’s going to be something that isn’t human, like an android or an alien. She also used the silent emoji, so there’s a chance the inspiration for her costume is something that doesn’t speak like a statue.
Last month, Heidi shared an Instagram video that shows her having a mold of her head and neck made for some prosthetics, so whatever she’s dressing up as will likely require some major changes to her face.

Based on Heidi Klum’s past Halloween costume choices, there’s a very low likelihood that she’s going to be Kim Kardashian or Beyonce — she’s never dressed up like a fellow celebrity. As the Telegraph reports, she’s given her own unique twist to popular Halloween costumes like the classic cat, Cleopatra, Lady Godiva, vampire, and witch. She’s been Betty Boop, the Hindu goddess Kali, an old woman, a crow, an ape, an apple, a butterfly, and a skinless human. Heidi has also proven that she’s a fan of sci-fi costumes by dressing up like a gold space alien and a colorful transformer robot.
According to the creative supermodel, she began planning this year’s costume the day after she peeled off Jessica Rabbit’s rubbery curves.
“November 1st, the day after Halloween, I start wracking my brain already [with] what I’m going do the next year. I don’t know why, but for me, Halloween is such an amazing fun night,” Klum told Entertainment Tonight.
Klum throws a huge Halloween party every year, and her famous guests aren’t allowed to walk in the door without a costume. She says that her costume requirement “just makes the whole night more special.”
