Kim Kardashian Paris Robbery Puts ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ On Hold
The Kim Kardashian Paris robbery incident has led to the production of the reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians being put on ice. But it is not clear for how long E! will keep the show on hold. Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel apartment in Paris last weekend during the time she was in France for the 2016 Paris Fashion Week show.
But why did E! decide to put on hold the production of Keeping Up with the Kardashians? It seems the move has much to do with allowing Kardashian to heal after the Paris robbery ordeal.
“Kim’s well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume,” said a spokesperson for E! network, according to Variety.

A rep of Kardashian had earlier said that the star was badly shaken by the Kim Kardashian Paris robbery attack although she wasn’t physically harmed.
The Kardashians last year extended their contract with E! for Keeping Up with the Kardashians series by three years to 2018.

During the attack, the star was seized, gagged, bound, and then locked into a bathroom as the robbers ransacked her apartment room for valuables. The thieves made off with her diamond engagement ring worth $4.5 million, her phone, and other jewelry valued at $6 million. Kardashian lost nearly $11 million in the Kim Kardashian Paris robbery incident.
Filming of the reality series
The back half of Season 12 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians is expected to return on October 23. Despite the temporary shutdown on the film’s production, the premiere date of the portion of Season 12 remains intact. It is believed that the hiatus affects the filming of Season 13 of the show.
West halts performance after learning of attack on the wife
At the time of Kim Kardashian Paris robbery, her husband Kanye West was in New York for a performance. But he had to cancel his performance abruptly after he received the news of the attack on his wife. West cited family emergency as the reason for canceling the performance. Sources say the musician is angry over what happened to Kardashian in Paris.
The couple has tried to keep a low profile since Kardashian returned to the U.S. following her shocking robbery ordeal. Kardashian was in Paris alongside Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner for the 2016 Fashion Week event, but they were not in the same room at the time of the robbery.
Did Kardashian’s bodyguard mastermind the attack?
Pascal Duvier, Kardashian’s bodyguard, was also not with her at the time she was being attacked at gunpoint. Masked gunmen carried out the attack on Kardashian in Paris and no arrests have been made, although detectives continue with investigations. However, the fashion in which the robbery took place has led some to question if it was an inside job, with some suspecting Kardashian’s lead bodyguard Duvier.

It has been reported that Duvier filed for company bankruptcy only 10 weeks before his boss was raided and robbed of about $11 million worth of jewelry. Duvier owns a German security firm known as ProtectSecurity, which offers protection for celebrities and VIPs. ProtectSecurity owes more than $1.12 million and it has been unable to pay the debt, leading to the bankruptcy filing. Did Duvier mastermind the attack to help him raise the money to pay off the debt that his company owes? That’s the question that those who suspect Duvier’s hand in the robbery of his boss are asking.
Speculations of Duvier’s possible involvement in the attack of his boss heightened after it emerged that the bodyguard was deleting photos and mentions of Kardashian from his social media accounts.
However, sources close to West family say that no bad blood has developed between them and the bodyguard Duvier. The sources further added that the family trusts Duvier and they are not blaming him for the scary Kim Kardashian Paris robbery incident. Nevertheless, West is mulling significantly boosting security for his family even as Kardashian cancels appearances to cool at their home in Los Angeles following the attack on her.
