Selena Gomez Featured On New Song, ‘Trust Nobody,’ After Canceling Tour

Selena Gomez may be taking some time off from the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean she’s been forgotten. In fact, Gomez has remained in the headlines since announcing the end of her Revival World Tour in August.

Although most of what has been written about Selena Gomez in the months since her tour ended has surrounded the drama between her and her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, and included allegations of rehab and possible drug use, she’s also been in the headlines for her still-booming career.

On October 4, The Stopru revealed that a new Selena Gomez song had been released, titled “Trust Nobody.” The song, which marks Selena Gomez’s first return to music since announcing her time off, was written by Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat and also features Canadian R&B singer Tory Lanez.

Selena Gomez shocked fans weeks ago when she revealed she was suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and depression as she tended to her Revival World Tour. Weeks after the singer was involved in a highly-publicized Instagram feud with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, she told fans she would be prioritizing her health in the coming months instead of completing the remainder of her tour, which was scheduled to continue until December.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges,” Selena Gomez said in a statement to People Magazine on August 30.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” she continued. “Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

As soon as Selena Gomez made her announcement, rumors began swirling which claimed the singer might be dealing with a drug or alcohol problem rather than struggles with her mental health. However, speaking to the magazine, a source claimed Selena Gomez was definitely not facing addiction issues. Instead, they confirmed, she simply hadn’t been feeling like herself.

As Selena Gomez stays in hiding, many fans are wondering where she is and what she is doing. Unfortunately, it’s hard to say where Gomez is, but according to several reports, she’s doing whatever she feels is necessary to ensure her future health and happiness.

In one particular report, it was revealed that Gomez had taken on a holistic approach to treating her illness.

“Selena Gomez has not experienced a lot of relief from classic western medicine, and is seeking alternative treatments for her lupus diagnosis,” a source close to the singer told Hollywood Life. “She wants to begin ‘chelation therapy,’ which is a method of pulling toxins and metals out of the body. She’s switched to an all organic, grain-free diet, and thoroughly ‘detoxed’ her house. All her soaps, beauty products, and cleaning supplies are natural and organic.”
