Josiah Duggar To Court Again, Shares His Plans For Future

This last week on Counting On, the viewers got to hear what the older Duggar boys think about courting. Most of them have plans to do it at some point, but it just hasn’t worked out yet. The Hollywood Gossip shared what Josiah Duggar had to say about courting in the future and what he is looking for in a girl. Josiah actually courted in the past with Marjorie Jackson and things didn’t work out for them. Josiah and Marjorie seemed to have a good thing going, but called it quits.

When Josiah was dating Marjorie, he was just 18-years-old. It didn’t work out, and the Inquisitr shared when they split what Josiah had to say about it. He said, “Marjorie and I had a good time together. We were just trying to follow God’s lead on everything. She didn’t feel that it was the right timing then, so we called it quits for a bit. We have time to grow… you never know. But when you think about a girl to marry, you ask what kind of guy she would want to marry, and you try to be that kind of guy.”

At the time, Josiah Duggar made it sound like he might end up back with Marjorie again later on. This week on the show Josiah said something that has fans thinking that he is ready to start courting again. Josiah didn’t say if it was Marjorie or someone new he would want to court, though. He revealed, “The older I get. the more I realize how young I am and how much more I have to mature in life. So yes, I’m interested in somebody, but as I get closer, I’m like, ‘Whoa, I’ve really got to work on some things.'” It wouldn’t be surprising at all if news came out soon that Josiah Duggar was courting.

Josiah explained that what he wants is to “guard” the heart of the person he is courting. He realizes that some people might not know how courting works, but that is the important thing to him. Josiah shared that the first thing he would do is ask the girl’s father if he could spend more time around their family because he was interested in the daughter. This is a great way to win over the dad right away, so it sounds like Josiah Duggar has it figured out.

If you are interested in wanting to date Josiah Duggar, he doesn’t really care about hair color, but he does want a girl that is organized. A good sense of humor is also important to Josiah. Hopefully, the right girl comes along for him soon. Josh Duggar is the only one of the Duggar boys to get married yet. Fans would love to see some of the other boys court on the show.

IB Times shared a bit more about what Josiah had to say on the show this week. It was back in March when Josiah revealed that things were over between him and Marjorie. Josiah also revealed that he does want to have chaperones along with him when he is courting. He seems to like the way they do this and this is how Josiah did things when he was courting Marjorie as well.
